{Damon's POV (unedited)}

"What's up with you dude?" Johnathan had asked me.

What's up with me? Oh I don't know, Maybe its's the fact that I hadn't found my mate yet.

Yeah, that suits me perfectly. That's what's up with me.

Through the windows of my office, I was staring at a couple, who just found out they were mates. The best part is, they had just turned 18 and found out that they were made for each other.

For me, I turned 21 and still hadn't found my mate yet.

I went back and sat on the chair in the office, ignoring Johnathan standing beside me, looking at my face which must have had a frown.

He was my Beta, he knew me better than anyone else, he was there with me since the start of it all. And I couldn't ask for a better friend. BUT, I couldn't help but feel jealous that he's got his mate too.

The thing is, I don't know her, I don't even know if I would even meet her. But if there would be anyway I could tell her this, or at least let her know, that I love her with all my heart, and I am willing to die for her.

My wolf feels something, and I'm going crazy not knowing what he is thinking about.

Would it be our Mate? What else could make him so restless?

I leant my head back on the head rest, feeling exhausted by overthinking all my brain cells out.

"You'll find her one day." Johnathan told me, trying to lessen my worries.

"But when?" I perked up, ready to argue with him.

He just sighed, and rolled his eyes, and my wolf growled at the disrespect. He immediately showed submission, and I sighed again.

"Sorry, I don't know what's got my wolf all worked up." I said.

He laughed. "And your thinking it would be your mate?"

I nodded and sighed again. How am I gonna find her? Go around all packs, roam through the forests and find her?

Oh I would love to do that too, just for her. But unfortunately, the idiot of a beta beside me would have my ears off if I ever told him this.

"No wonder, your all so worked up. Wait, she will come through. You guys are meant to be together, it's fate."

"Fate isn't going easy on me isn't it?" I asked sighing for the last time, putting my heads through my hair.

"Has it ever?" he said in a monotone, referring to what we did to get here, in this position.

I stood up and paced around the room, remembering all memories that surfaced.

"Ugh, forget this. What do we have, for today?" I asked getting irritated, as I sat upon my chair.

Why am I getting so irritated?

Johnathan walked up in front of me, and sat down making his seat, while he told about the schedules and meeting held for today.

I ignored all, not in the mood to listen, because my wolf was making a fuss, again.

"What now?" I asked Frost, my wolf.

He got such a name, well we, because we had powers of the element, ice. When I first got my wolf, he was an elemental which was unheard of in our family especially with the element ice.
