Bluewing
The mountains?
Her Clanmates let out shocked gasps when they heard what Jayfeather said, but Bluewing felt excited. Did StarClan hear her wishes? Maybe my sister is there, at the mountains! If Jayfeather goes, then I'll go with him!
Firestar recovered from the shock. ''The mountains? Wh-''
''It's for the best of the Clan! Trust me!'' Jayfeather hissed. ''You have to let me go there! I have to help the Tribe! StarClan visited me in a dream!''
Firestar's gaze softened. ''We can't go on helping the Tribe. StarClan knows, I have a lot of sympathy for them, but they have their life and we have ours.''
Firestar, please, just let him go! I need to find out if my sister is at the mountains!
''Besides, who will be our medicine cat while you're gone?''
''I will.''
Bluewing turned her head and saw Leafpool padding forward. She then sat in front of Firestar. ''I was a medicine cat once, as you know. If StarClan told Jayfeather he has to go to the mountains, then let him go. I'll take care of Briarlight as well.'' She meowed.
Firestar hesitated, then nodded. ''Very well. You can go, Jayfeather, but I can't let you go alone. Some warriors have to go with you.''
Yes!
Firestar looked around. ''Squirrelflight, Dovewing, and Foxleap, you can go with him.''
Bluewing's jaw dropped. Jayfeather growled. She knew he didn't want Squirrelflight to go with him.
Ivypool approached Firestar. ''Could I go, too?'' She asked, hopeful, and sneaked a glance at Dovewing.
''No, Ivypool, we need you here.'' Firestar meowed. ''We still need warriors to protect our camp.''
Ivypool looked disappointed, but she didn't protest.
Bluewing suddenly got up and stepped forward. ''Firestar, please, let me go with them!''
Firestar blinked, but shook his head. ''Just like I told Ivypool, we need warriors here to protect the camp. I can't send everyone to the mountains. You will stay here.''
''But I need to find my sister!'' Bluewing hissed. ''My sister might be there, at the mountains, and you expect me to stay here?! Please, let me go with them. There are enough warriors here, and even if they find my sister, they probably won't know that it's her or will scare her or something!''
Firestar didn't respond. He looked at Bluewing for a long time, then nodded. ''Very well, you can go.''
Bluewing relaxed. She purred. ''Thank you, Firestar!'' She meowed, then joined the group, although Foxleap padded toward the medicine cats' den with Leafpool. They're probably going to get the traveling herbs.
''What's going on?'' Brambleclaw suddenly asked, rushing toward them.
Firestar looked at him. ''They're going to the mountains. Jayfeather had a dream that he needs to go there, and I'll let him go with a few other warriors.''
