Blaine didn't know how he'd ended up on freezing cold bleachers in the early morning with Tina, but they were ready to watch the Quidditch match. She'd explained the game to him, and that she always came to support Kurt when they had been in middle school together.

"What position does Kurt play?" he asked curiously, as Ravenclaw and Slytherin got ready to play.

"He's a Beater," Tina said.

"Those are the ones with the bats?"

"Yeah."

"Oh!" A boy beside him that recognized from his Care Of Magical Creatures class tugged on his sleeve, pointing down to the field. "That's Nick, he's the Seeker! Sorry, I don't even know your name, but I need to share my excitement with someone and you seem nice. I'm so excited to watch him play."

He followed the boy's eyes, surprised. "Hey, I met him on the train. You know him?"

He smiled at Nick adoringly. "He's my boyfriend. I'm Jeff, by the way."

"I'm Blaine, it's nice to meet you. Oh, and this is Tina," he added. Tina smiled at him.

There was a gentle noise of feedback as the speakers turned on. "Alright! Everyone can hear me? Good. Good morning everyone, thank you for getting up at the crack of dawn to watch some quidditch practice. Why they always schedule it so early remains a mystery to me. The sun wakes up later than Ryan Harris— I'm not sure if he even sleeps at this point."

There was laughter at that. From the field, Ryan jokingly flipped the announcer off.

"Go easy on me today, I haven't done this all summer. Our first match is Ravenclaw versus Slytherin, some old familiar faces on both teams. Slytherin's got a new member— that Chaser there is Thad Harris, who I am now realizing I'll have to call by first name when Slytherin goes against Gryffindor, because the Harris brothers will be playing against each other. That won't get confusing at all! Oh— and they're off! Warn me next time, guys!

"The Quaffle is immediately taken by Donahue from Slytherin— oh, but it's stolen by Jack— he passes it off to Evans— Evans gets it past the Slytherin keeper, scoring the first goal, 10–0 in Ravenclaw's favor— and Jack's got the Quaffle again— oh, that's a nasty hit by a Bludger there from Lowell but he doesn't drop it— he passes it to Bates, Bates passes it back, and they're cha-cha-ing, folks— oh, the Quaffle's taken by Brown from Slytherin— oh! Olsen delivers a nasty Bludger to Brown's back, Brown drops the Quaffle— Evans and Harris dive for it—

"And knocking Evans out of the way, Harris's got the Quaffle, he passes it to Donahue, Donahue scores, it's 10–10— Jack immediately recovers the Quaffle and scores, it's 20–10 in Ravenclaw's favor— scratch that, Jack's got it through again, it's 30–10— the Snitch is spotted by the Seekers— ouch!"

Jeff jumped in his seat, leaning forwards worriedly.

"That looked like it hurt— Smythe knocks Nick out of the way, Nick recovers himself— and Jack's got the Quaffle again— it's become the Duval Brother show, everybody, someone get Aaron off the bleachers— Harris steals the Quaffle, passes it to Brown who fumbles it, but Donahue recovers it— oh, Evans steals it back— passes it to Bates, Bates scores— 40–10— Nick's diving— Smythe blocks him— hold on— no, Smythe did not block him, Nick's got the Snitch!"

Jeff got up, cheering with the others. Nick looked over at the bleachers, only smiling once he saw Jeff. Jeff blew him a kiss.

Blaine cheered with the others, leaning over to Tina. "Does the announcer sound familiar to you?"

She frowned. "I didn't think so, why?"

"Huh. There's just something about their voice."

The next match was Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff.
