"Do you think he's a natural blonde?"
Hannah sat in her seat backwards, looking at Harry and I while Hermione hit her over the head with a book.
"Hannah!"
"What, we were all thinking it."
Ron sat in the desk next to Hannah, Haley Hopkin sitting beside him reading through a book.
"She brings up a good question," I nodded while Hannah held her hand out for a high five, I quickly returned it and looked about at Hermione.
"How can you talk about him like that?"
"Easy-" Hannah spoke with a shrug of her shoulder.
"-Just open your mouth and let your voice box do the rest!"
I heard a loud cough echo through the room, Lockheart stood at the top of the stairs holding a hand mirror in his hand.
"Welcome to Defense Against the Dark Arts, I'm your Professor Gilderoy Lockhart."
Why did he sound like a talk show host?
"Order of Merlin, Third Class!"
He jumped down a few sets of stairs, his hair flopping as he hit each stone step.
"Honorary member of the Dark Force Defense League."
This guy had way too much time on his hands.
"Also a five time winner of Witch Weekly's Most- Charming Smile Award."
Lockheart ran his finger across Hannah and Hermione desk, Hannah turned around and made a face full of vomit.
She looked at Harry and I, mouthing "save me" before Hermione grabbed her shoulder.
"But I didn't get rid of a Bandon Banshee by just smiling at it."
"What the bloody hell is a Bandon Banshee," Ron reached over and whispered into my ear.
"Open your textbook and find out."
Ron pushed my shoulder, causing my side to fly into Harry. I whisper a "sorry" which Harry brushed off, saying he understood.
"Now, I must warn you,"
Lockheart picked up his wand and circled the cage with the purple cloth over it.
"We are about to face one of the most terrifying creatures this world has ever seen."
"Has he seen Malfoy?"
Hannah let a loud laugh fall from her lips, daring to look at the boy in questions. His eyes raked over the group of us, rolling his eyes and his eyes fell back to the front.
"I hope he screams like a baby," Hannah said as she laid her head on her desk and watched Lockheart.
Lockheart let his wand play with the cloth, going on and on about how dangerous the creature was and how lucky we were he would be there to protect us. He then ripped the cloth from the cage, little pixies floating around the cage and grabbing the bars.
Malfoy laughed and echoed through the room, Hannah and Ron's followed shortly after.
"Cornish Pixies?"
Seamus laughed while tapping my shoulder, pointing at the cage full of pixies. I withheld the giggle that started to bubble in the back of my throat.
"It's-it's not funny (Y/N)," Harry tried to warn me but his laughter made the words blend together.
"Oh hush."
"They are fresh picked Cornish Pixie," Lockheart flicked his wand, making the situation more dramatic than needed.
"Oh you're laughing now," Lockheart reached from the cage, pulling the small door open.
Pixies filled the room, their screams bounced off the wall. My hands found my ear, trying to keep my eardrums from sudden death.
"Bad idea, bad idea," Hannah yelled over the screams.
Harry grabbed my arm and pulled me under the table when a pixie flew onto our desk.
"Don't worry I got this," Lockheart spoke proudly, speaking nonsense and he flicked his wand every which way.
"Sir this isn't a movie, can you make sense!"
Hannah screaming was the only thing I could make out beside the screams of the pixie.
"Uh-"
Lockheart looked around the room, students hiding under books and desks. I looked behind me to see Nevillie being dragged from his seat from a few. I pushed my chair out the way, grabbing Neville's ankle and pulling on it.
"(Y/N)!"
I pulled harder on Neville's ankle, looking to get Lockheart before I watched him run up the stairs.
"Any idea?"
I removed one hand from Neville's ankle and pulled the wand from the robe. I waved it quickly, the few pixies holding Neville jumped off him, causing us both to tumble to the wooden floor of the classroom.
"Immobulus."
Hermione yelled the spell, the pixie stopping and were simply floating around the room like balloons.
"Thank Merlin," Hannah stood from under the desk, running to Neville and I. Harry was close behind her, running around and grabbing my hand. He pulled me up from where I laid on the floor.
"Is Neville okay?"
"I'm good (Y/N)."
I nodded and smiled at Neville, he easily returned.
"I should tell my father about this," Malfoy yelled at no one in particular.
"What an original idea."
Hannah smirked as Malfoy huffed, fixing his books back into his back where they belong.
"Well wasn't that a live demonstration."
