~month 2~

Adam's pov

~Adam's dream~

I sighed sitting in my room with my sleeping son in his crib. I walked over to the crib and picked him up. "I promise you that I will never let anyone hurt you. Even if it kills me, I'll protect you and your mother." I said holding him against my chest gently.

I heard my lovely wife come up behind me. "Adam I know you want to protect our family, but Nasir will need to know the truth sooner or later..." She said softly. "I know, but we can't tell him now.. He wouldn't understand, even if he was a teenager he still wouldn't. Only when he's 17 to 18 would he understand." I said softly.

She nodded looking at me. "Just be careful, please." She said to me. "I will. You know that." I said softly kissing her head. She smiled softly looking up at me.

I sighed. Our 3 month old only child would have a hard life ahead of him. No one, and I mean no one, will hurt my son.

~end of dream~

I sighed waking up from the dream I was having. It's one of the only dreams I have now. One is about the day that Nasir discovered his powers and we had to wipe his memory while the other is this one that I just had. I wish I didn't have these dreams but they are the only thing keeping me alive aside from what I need to tell Nasir. I know the Lord wouldn't let me rest in peace until I've told Nasir the truth. He's been lied to his whole life...

"Sir?" I heard a voice say. I looked at my door and I saw Leilani's dad. "Yes John?" I asked him. "How's our kids doing on the trip?" He asked. "They are doing just fine. I promise." I said to him with a soft smile. He nodded and left the room.
