it was december 31st finally. tonight arabella would be celebrating with her friends in hope of a better year.

so far arabella's day had been really strange. the girl was clearly anxious, her knees bouncing, her hands shaking, her constant zoning out and forgetfulness. kio thought she must've been having a bad day, but addison assured him that it was just her nerves and anxiety for the party tonight. addison knew arabella hasn't told kio yet about the whole noah situation so addison knew not to say anything to him.

arabella hadn't heard from noah all day, which had her anxiety growing even more. she had no idea what time his flight was, meaning she had no idea if he was even going to make it, and that was the worst part. she couldn't help but think thoughts like what if he changed his mind, or what if he's not coming back in time or what if he's not coming because he doesn't want to do this.

the girl was terrified. she didn't want to lose one of the most important relationships/friendships she had. noah had grown to mean the world to the girl, so if she lost him she's be a mess, she wouldn't have the means to go on. he supported her through so much in so little time.

a few hours later arabella was sat in chase's room in the hype house getting ready for the party. thomas had let arabella, addison, dixie and charli get ready at the house, chase offering to let them get ready in his room, which was nice of him. addison looked back to see arabella sitting on chase's bed, her knees bouncing, her phone was in one hand, her eyes trained on it as she bit her nail. addison furrowed her brows at the girl, making her way to her.

"bella, what's wrong?", addison asked.

arabella snapped her head up, slowly removing her hand away from her mouth.arabella looked at her phone before looking up at addison.

"i haven't heard from noah, the last text i had was earlier and all he said was i'll be there," arabella sighed, her voice wavering. "what if-what if he won't?".

addison gave arabella a sympathetic look.

"bella, we both know noah, if he assures you that he'll be here in time, then he will be here in time, trust me," addison replied.

arabella nodded gently.

"okay, now your makeup is done so you need to get ready because it's 7pm already and people will be arriving soon," addison smiled.

arabella let out a sigh and pulled herself off the bed, she walked over to the wardrobe where her outfit was hanging up. picking it up, arabella made her way into the bathroom and began to get ready. she was fixing her hair when there was a knock on the bathroom door.
