Edward's Shifter

Something wasn't right about the end of the week. Luna felt like questions will be asked. First she had to get over the field trip and than the weekend. Edward knew about Luna going to see her brother and father. "Ready to see your family." Edward asked.

"Yeah, I haven't seen Jake or dad in awhile and this weekend I'm going to spend time with him before Monday."

"It would be good for you to spend time with them." Edward tells her. "Billy talks about how you look like your mother."

Luna smiled at the mind reader. She never got to know her mother, but she loves her none the less. Luna kissed Edward's cheek and smiled. "Let's get this dreadful trip over with."

Edward chuckled at how she was acting.

Luna smiled as she walked with Edward. She looked to see Bella and Gabriel talking. "What are they talking about?"

"She's questioning him about the other day." Edward tells her.

Luna rolled her eyes knowing that if Bella goes to the beach with their friends that she will ask more questions and here the legends that will make her dig deeper. "Gabriel is screwed."

"Why?"

"It's not just me, but our friends are going to the Rez to surf at La Push. If Bella asks one of the boys there that knows the legend, she will dig deeper."

"The deeper she goes, the faster she finds out." Edward said. "Shit."

"Yep."

Luna was right. Bella was walking with Jacob getting the story. Luna walked up to her house and walked in. "Dad?"

"Hey."

"Can we talk about the Bella issue?" Luna asked. Billy nodded confused. Luna sat beside him and took a deep breath. "Bella is suspicious of the Cullens. Has been since Gabriel discovered that Bella was the one. She's been asking questions, but no one won't  answer. Now that she is here and Quil and Embry's big mouth made her question Jacob."

"And Jacob is telling her the story of them."

"Yes."

Billy sighed. "I guess there's nothing that can't be done." Luna looked at him. "Bella will find out sooner or later." Luna nodded and smiled. "Don't worry about it. Let Gabriel deal with it." Luna nodded. "Now how are you and Edward."

Luna laughed at the question and started explaining. To say her day was a little better than what it was made her happy and couldn't wait to see Edward the following school day.
