I pace around my cell, hands fidgeting with anticipation. The voices that I keep hearing are trying to comfort me, but my body is too ready for anything. I tried sitting down, I just got back up again.
'Galactica, ma'am relax. Everything will be okay.'
"I know that, but I also know what's going to happen in a few minutes, and I'm not so sure that's calming."
'We can't control that, we're sorry.'
"No, no, it's not your fault. I'm just afraid of it all."
'Don't be.'
I'm startled out of my thoughts by Steve grabbing my shoulders and turning me to face him.
"Are you all right? I was calling your name and you didn't hear."
"I'm fine, just absorbed in my thoughts. What's going on?"
He lets go of my arms and points to my closet, which holds my armor.
"Suit up, we've got a problem on our hands." I look up at him, and smile.
"Well, I guess we don't have the same mindset, do we?"
He smiles, and walks out of the room. I armored up quickly, grabbing my swords and walking out of the room, seeing Clint, Natasha and Steve waiting for me. I nod to them and we take off towards the jets. Natasha senses the anticipation running through me, and looks down at my shaky hands. She grabs one softly, and Clint rubs my back, also understanding what I'm going through. They were the two assigned to get rid of me, but they thought I'd be helpful. They trained me, and have been there since the beginning. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them. We made it to the quinjet, and a worker sprung up.
"Hey, you guys aren't authorized to be in here-"
"Son, just don't."
We took flight immediately, breezing past the ship and towards New York City. Natasha was seated next to Steve, and Clint sat beside me.
"Did I hurt you?"
"You can't hurt me, Clint, you know that."
He smiles, "You know, you are pretty much invincible. Why worry?"
I look over at him, "There's a lot on the plate."
"What do you mean, we're just getting the bad guy, we've done that before."
"Yes, but that was before. This is something we've never done. Magic is complex, Barton."
"The future is difficult to please, Clint, you should know that." Natasha shouts from where she is. I giggle, and he smiles.
"Alright, I get it."
Then, a power surges through me.
'He's on the tower, Miss.'
'Stark is going to interrogate him.'
'You should help him.'
I stumble back to reality, seeing Clint get worried.
"I have to go, Stark needs help."
"Let me come-"
"No, Clint I need you on the ground." I grab his hands. "Trust me."
He looks hesitant, but he nods. I smile, walking over to the middle of the jet.
"Be careful, Galactica."
I smile at her, and teleport myself to Stark, realizing he's in the air. I smile as I fall through the sky, knowing that Stark would catch me. I land in his arms bridal style, and cross my legs.
