Danger is Afoot.

Stark had to drop me onto the ground because I couldn't help him. I watch as he shoots down the aliens quickly, managing a few slip-ups. I curse under my breath.

'Ma'am, help the people on the ground, some of the aliens are slipping by him.'

I look up again to see some of the Chitauri coming towards us.

"Oh crap."

I rush over to help the citizens pushing them out of the way and into buildings as I fight off the Chitauri with my swords. I jump up, impaling one of them as I throw it onto the ground, crushing it.

"Woah, I didn't know I could do that!"

'You hold a lot of power that you haven't used yet.'

"That's useful to know."

I see police scattered everywhere across the city, helping other citizens that are running away from the scene.

"Hey, are you guys having a lunch break or something?! Get over here!" I shout into the coms.

"Galactica, where are you?"

"Oh, you know, just fighting off a bunch of aliens that are swarming the citizens, no big deal." I say sarcastically.

"Galactica, we don't have time for this!" Natasha shouts. I look back up to see Stark leading the Chitauri and the quinjet shooting them down. They find Loki and Thor, seeing them battling it out on the Stark Tower. They shoot at him, and he fires back, sending an energy blast right through the jet, and they tumble towards the ground. I take off to where they landed, seeing them all uninjured.

"Finally."

"Galactica, no time."

We run over near the city hall, hearing a large groan coming from the portal. We look up to see a Chitauri Leviathan fly out, casting a shadow above us.

"Now this is a little scary."

"A little?"

"I've seen worse."

It flies right above us, launching some smaller Chitauri to be on the ground and into the building.

"Stark, are you seeing this?"

"Seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner, has he shown up yet?"

"Banner?"

Bruce ran from us after the day he turned to the Hulk. He couldn't take that much of a burden being seen as a monster. I just hope he knows what's going on and wants to help us.

"Just keep me posted."

We rush over to hide behind some taxis. We look around, seeing civilians running. I look up to see Loki leading the Chitauri and destroying some buildings.

"Loki." Steve says breathlessly.

We watch him lead a massacre below the bridges, explosions going off in every crevice.

"They're fish in a barrel down there."

I turn around to see some of the aliens coming towards us. I pull out some pistols and fire at them, Natasha doing the same. We hide behind some taxis as more come our way.

"We got this, it's good. Go." Nat says, looking at Steve and me. We look over at each other and nod.

"Think you can hold them off?"

Clint turns to face us.

"Captain. It would be my genuine pleasure."

They start firing at the aliens as we both take off, jumping off the bridge and landing on a bus and taking off. We see a bunch of police surrounding the area, so we jump up on their car to get their attention.
