The jet is soaring through the sky as we head back. I'm seated across from Loki, studying him as he is strapped to one of the seats, looking around. I get up, walking over to Steve and Tony.
"Thanks, Stark for popping in at the right moment."
"I seem to have taken a liking to you, Futurama." I giggle.
"Love the nickname, by the way." I state smiling.
Steve looks stressed as he turns around to the pilot's quarters.
"I don't like it."
"What, the Rock of Ages giving up so easily?" Tony questions. I place a hand on Steve's back.
"I don't remember it being that easy, this guy packs a wallop."
"Well still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow." Stark comments. "What's your thing, Pilates?"
"What?"
"It's like calisthenics," I explain.
"You might've missed a couple things, you know, spending time as a Capsicle." I stifle my laughter as they stare into each other's eyes. Suddenly, thunder and lightning surrounds the jet as we continue flying.
"Where's this coming from?" Natasha questions. I try to connect the dots, then it hits me.
"Oh no."
"What's the matter, scared of a little lightning?" Steve says. I look over at him, thinking he's talking to me, but his direction is faced towards Loki, who is looking around with worry. Making my suspicions more correct.
"I'm not overly fond of what follows." He says. I hear something coming closer and closer until it lands at the top of the jet, shaking it slightly. We all armor up, and Tony opens up the jet's door.
"What're you doing?" Rogers shouts.
Thor lands on the open platform, and I watch as Loki's face shifts to one of horror. Stark goes to fire, but Thor hits him with his hammer, knocking him off his feet. He goes straight for Loki, grabbing him by the neck and flying off using the hammer. I sigh, taking a few steps back to prepare to follow them.
"I hope you both consider coming with me!" I shout before running at full speed and jumping off the jet, hearing the shocked screams of the team fade away. I see them both in the distance, landing on the ground as I land somewhere near them. I watch as Thor throws Loki to the ground, and he starts to laugh.
"Where's the Tesseract." Thor demands.
"I've missed you too," Loki says, chuckling.
"Do I look to be in a gaming mood?"
"Oh, you should thank me. With the Bifrost gone how much dark energy did the Allfather have to muster to conjure you here? Your precious Earth." Loki says. I looked at both of them , seeing that their history is much deeper than meets the eye.
"I thought you were dead."
"Did you mourn?"
"We all did. Our father.."
Loki raises a finger to him, shutting him up, "Your, father. He did tell you my true parentage, did he not?" He walks closer to me, making me move somewhere different, but he heard me, looking around before brushing it off as an animal or something. I exhale softly, continuing to watch.
"We were raised together. We played together, we fought together! Do you remember none of that?" Thor shouts. Loki turns to look at him.
"I remember a shadow." He says simply. "Living in the shade of your greatness. I remember you tossing me into an abyss, I who was and should be king!"
