Chapter : 10 - I Almost Forgot You're A Guy.
I opened my eyes to the bright sun light shining on my face and batted my lashes to adjust, as someone pulled the curtain shut.
I lifted my head a bit and looked at him as he walked back to the arm chair and sat there with my book in his hands.
I sat up quickly and rubbed my eyes.
"Morning Annu." He said with the same raspy voice not looking up from the book and I stretched my arms standing up.
"What are you doing here?" I said and he looked up from the book.
"Don't you remember me coming over? Anything?" He mocked and I just rolled my eyes at him.
"Of course I do, how could I forget you losing badly in the pillow fight?" I said with equally mocking tone.
"No I didn't." He said and I flashed a grin. "Alright, go brush you're teeth, I'm making chai." He said bringing his eyes back to the book.
"Oh, okay." I said walking to my room. "Listen, just put the extra adrak in it." I said snucking my head out from the door frame.
"Fine" he chuckled.
After brushing my teeth, I came out and glanced at the watch. It's just six in the morning. And the heavenly smell of adrak wali chai hit my nostrils and I moaned jumping on to the couch.
He came upstairs with two cups in his hands and handed me one. I sipped and smiled at him.
"Good" he asked settling back into the chair, holding the cup in one hand and the book in another.
"Mm... it's okay." I lied, and he chuckled.
"I can read your face that you love it." He said and I scrunched up my nose at him.
"Okay... it's great." I admitted. And he shook his head with amusement.
"That's my book you're reading." I said and he looked up.
"Yeah, and I can see you still use sticky page marks for your favourite lines and scenes." He says and I smile.
"I see you read this many times, it's still your favourite." I bite my lip at the memory of me and him reading Wuthering heights for the first time.
"Be with me always, take any form, haunt me. drive me mad! But don't leave me in the abyss where I cannot find you."
He said out the lines with acting all emotional looking into my eyes as challenging me and I chuckled.
"If all else perished and he remained, I shall continue to be. If all else remained and he were annihilated, the world would turn into a mighty stranger." I said and he raised his brows.
"Great Annu, but I'm gonna win this time." He smirked and I sighed. It's our game of saying favourite lines from our favourite books, who says more and right lines wins.
"Let's see, we have the whole day ahead. I'm gonna win as usual." I wink at him and he smirks.
"And hey! You borrowed my old edition of Pride and prejudice and you never returned. I had to get a brand new." I hissed and his eyes widened.
"Yeah, but you also will probably have a book or two of mine." He pointed.
Okay, I may have his atleast....two books which I never returned. But I'm not gonna admit.
"No I don't have any." I lied putting on a straight face.
"I know you have!!" He pointed at me.
