Clarisse's POV

The sky was a mixture of dark midnight blues and purple. All swirled together to make beautiful contrasting lights and darks of the night sky. By midnight, the darkness is almost absolute, only a smattering glint of luminous stars scattered just perfectly decorating the sky. While the radiance of a bright moon accented the night sky perfectly. It was three-quarters full, satisfying, and beautiful.

The balmy midnight breeze drifts in from the window and speared through my coat which prickled along my skin; sinking down to my very bones. It made my longing for someone suddenly ignites. When I opened my eyes I found myself inside an unfamiliar, enormous place. The deafening silence that wraps within this enormous dark place gives me chills. When I'm about to roam within the darkness I suddenly heard clear footsteps slowly approaching towards me.

I moved hastily but before I could turn, someone covered my eyes already. It weirdly stayed behind me without saying any words. We could just hear the rustle of our breaths.

I convinced myself to utter such words, "W-Who is this? I don't know why I'm here." I took a slow deep breath and pretending I'm not scared, it's just creepy that someone will catch me here inside this enormous place late at night. "Can you please uncover my eyes? I don't wanna play with you, I just wanna get out of here." I said as I tried to pull away from its hands from my eyes. I became confused when I heard the person behind me chuckled a bit while forcing his hands to keep on covering my poor eyes.

"Can you recognize me now, Princess?" He huskily whispered into my ear while he still covers my eyes. I felt my spine shivered for a moment.

I tried to uncover my eyes gently and this time I successfully removed it so I turned at my back right away. "Geez! Orion?!" My eyes widened when I saw him smiling. "You scared the hell out of me!" I exclaimed as I gently hit his shoulders. But I felt at ease when I knew it was him. My eyes started to be watery, I'm being overwhelmed.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to surprise you." He's trying to prevent himself not to laugh. Aside from that, he hugged me tightly as if we didn't saw each other for so long.

"I missed you, Prince," I stated while hugging him back tightly.

"I missed you too, Princess." We separated from our hugs then our eyes intentionally meet. "Happy Birthday, Clarisse. Because it's your special day, can I request to have a dance with my lovely Princess?" He asked me like he was a real Prince.

"Of course, my Prince. It would be my pleasure." I replied while slightly bowing pretending like I'm a real Princess. We smiled at each other while looking intently. I saw him snapped his fingers then all the chandeliers and candles lit up making the whole palace fascinatingly bright. Wait... Palace?! All this time, I've been inside a palace?!

"This is such an enormous palace, Orion." I told him while I'm being amazed by what I'm seeing.

"Yes, indeed. I'll let you visit here again someday, Princess." He smiled at me as he held my hands to put it on his shoulders. He gently holds my waist as he looks into my eyes deeply. The music starts to play and we started to dance. We sweetly danced together with full of passion and grace.

(FALLING LIKE THE STARS by James Arthur)

I swear to God when I come home
I'm gonna hold you so close
I swear to God when I come home
I'll never let go

The beautiful song guided us to be more close enough as we enjoy the presence of each other. Every moment, every angle seemed to be planned in advance. Nothing felt forced; I literally thought I was floating.

Like a river, I flow
To the ocean, I know
You pull me close
Guiding me home

He gently pulled my waist closer to him as he passionately looks into my eyes locked on like magnets. He kept his eyes on me, yet still, he knew exactly where to take me.
