CHAPTER 8✨CROSSED PATHS

Clarisse's POV

When I reached Gavin's flat I have seen several people who have been just watching at Trevor and Gavin punching each other. Beside them was an overwhelmed Lynx, staring silently and can't do anything.

Right at that moment, Trevor swiftly pulled Gavin to his feet, almost tearing his collar. The rushing flow of their blood can be observed from the cuts on their faces. The fire rages within their madness while their furious gazes cannot be easily broken.

"Hey, you two! Could you stop it, don't make a mess in here!" I said as I tried to pull Trevor from Gavin. But he's just too strong for me. I heard Trevor took a deep breath as his jaw clenched out of rage.

"Don't you ever come near Lynx again a**hole stupid bastard." Trevor released those words on fire. Then he roughly released Gavin hurling away from him.

"Leave. my. girl. alone." Trevor strongly emphasized every word he stated then he abruptly wiped the drip of blood under his lips. The aura felt kinda weird and Gavin's reaction cannot be expressed accordingly. Before we could leave, I saw Trevor and Gavin still furiously glaring at each other while their jaws are in great tension.

After their burning up fight scene, we directly go to Trevor's flat to treat his wounds and bruises. He doesn't have any companion here in his house because his parents are in London, where they lived. Going back to Trevor's situation I got some basin and ice pack while Lynx got him some cotton and betadine. The three of us are sitting on the sofa while treating his wounds.

"You don't have to do this. I can handle myself." Trevor told us while his face crumpled after putting the ice bag on his bruises. I just stared at his little wounds and bruises while thinking about something.

"No, we will be here for you Trevor. I told you not to do that thing anymore, look at those wounds and bruises you've got. Tss..." Lynx said as she shook her head in disappointment. She grabbed the ice pack from him and let her do it by herself.

I got more curious about what Lynx has said. So I asked, "What is really happening here, huh? How come did the both of you ended up crashing each other's faces?"

I just heard Lynx sighed heavily that's why my attention went to her. "I guess it was really my fault. I shouldn't have asked Trevor to come with me." Lynx stated as she looks downwards with sadness.

"It's not your fault, Lynx. You should blame that bastard Gavin!" Trevor raised his voice.

"Please do remain calm, Trevor. We're talking about this to solve the problem. Stop being hot-headed so easily." I seriously told him then I faced Lynx. "Care to explain what
happened?"

"G-Gavin has been cheating on me... I had an instinct that he's been doing something wrong these past few weeks. He suddenly changed but I didn't give much attention to it.

But last night when I was going home I received a text from him. He's canceling everything that we've planned that night, it was actually fine with me because he told me he is getting busy with work stuff. But my world seemed to be ruined when I saw him with another girl. They were happily walking at the street while they were holding each other's hands." She started sobbing so she stopped for a moment.

"All of my doubts became fulfilled as I witnessed him cheating and happy with someone else. Then earlier I decided to go at his place while making myself believe that I was just hallucinating things last night. On my way to Gavin's place, Trevor and I bumped at each other and he insisted to go with me. Visiting him was a mistake I made, I saw Gavin getting busy with another girl's company. They even kissed in front of me without knowing it beforehand. Seeing him having another girl under his roof ripped my heart apart. We were all shocked and surrounded by silence."
