Spreading sunrise, colours spread across the sky announcing the new day, it merged into a neon pinkish peach glow with soothing lavender and brilliant amber across the clouds as if it was painted by a celestial hand. Clarisse breaths in deeply, a new day has begun.
She woke up with a piece of great news waiting for her to be discovered. After a long time, her hard work has been already paid off. Clarisse screamed in joy right after she read the email from the publishing company she's been working with. Even Mischa's peacefulness was bothered but she's pretty happy for her owner's success as well.
"Clarisse?" Her Mom opened the door immediately, "What happened?"
She quickly went down from her bed, "I got a promotion, Mom! I'm finally a Production Editor!" She frantically screamed.
"Oh gosh! That's good news! Congratulations, darling."
They hugged each other happily, then her Dad went inside her room for a group hug too. Deep inside Clarisse's parents, they were happy to see their daughter genuinely smiling again like how she used to. They never leave her side throughout the roller coaster experiences she has faced. And now seeing their daughter achieving success, that's indeed a great thing to be proud of.
After their heartfelt hugs, they had their breakfast altogether. Then Clarisse was left alone in the house because her parents were still working, insisting they could still do their jobs because they aren't too old enough.
On the other hand, Clarisse shared the great news with Lynx and Trevor through their group chat. And as usual, they wanted to celebrate and plan for an outing since they have saved up enough money to travel. But for now, they planned to go to Dream Delight Cafe; among all the coffee shops in their town, only DD Cafe really got Clarisse's taste buds. So she doesn't have any choice but to go, she can't say no to her friends either.
Ever since their break up, she didn't have the guts to visit DD Cafe for her coffee. Perhaps, she's really thankful that they started accepting a house to house delivery this year. She doesn't want to see and feel Orion's presence, it's also her way to mend her broken heart.
It's been five hella months since they closed the chapter of their love story. In Clarisse and Orion's perspective, it was a rough time for them because they got used to having each other's back before, but now they have nothing.
Speaking about their break up, it has been almost 4 months when Clarisse started to figure out something which still connects her to Orion. The necklace that was given by her Grandmother on her eighteenth birthday has something to do with Orion, specifically with the Eternity Gem.
She noticed that the Eternity Gem's missing fragment was inside her necklace all along. She even re-read Luna's bloody journal just to make sure that it was the necklace that Luna was talking about. To her shock, she was right. She even tried to hold it with her bare hands but it didn't burn her hand like how Luna wrote from her bloody journal.
When she was certain that the gem's fragment is in her possession, she took care of it and hid it for safety. Clarisse wanted to give it back to Orion but she doesn't have enough courage to face Orion yet.
"But now, maybe it's time for you to go back to your real owner." She uttered, talking to her necklace with the gem inside. She then put it in her sling bag and managed to reply from the message in their group chat.
[Alright, I'm going. I'll be on my way in a minute. See yah, guys!]
"How I hope I'm doing the right thing." She whispered to herself while Mischa's just staring at her oddly, she somehow thinks her owner is crazy talking by herself.
