CHAPTER 24✨SECRETS FROM THE PAST

Clarisse's POV

New rays of sunshine filtered through my eyelids, awakening me to a fantastic day. It's such a beautiful morning to start with, new day, new beginnings. The pain wasn't around me anymore, I feel freed from a chain of thorns which made my heart bleeds before.

I sat up and withdrew my hand, reaching for the nightstand lamp. The photograph of me and Orion had been always there even the time when we broke up. It was always facing towards me, towards the bed, not away from me. I smiled looking at our picture, it was indeed a great shot we got from the Maldives.

Anyway, after what happened yesterday, I decided to talk with Orion about the Eternity gem fragment inside my necklace. At first, he was shocked when he knew about it but he didn't get it from me yet instead he told me to keep it with me for a moment.

Today, I woke up much earlier so I could have much time to prepare. Orion will be here in a moment, I'm certain. He told me we are going somewhere, he wanted to show me something amazing. Of course, deep inside me, I'm super excited but I can still cope up to hold my excitement inside.

I went downstairs to make myself breakfast, maybe eggs, hotdogs, and fried rice will do. As usual Mom and Dad have gone to work already, so I'm basically all by myself. But in a moment I won't be alone anymore, my Prince will come to fetch me.

I started multi-tasking so I could prepare much faster. I am planning to wear the Red dress I bought last week. Now I know the real purpose of why I decided to oddly add that dress to my cart because this will happen. Hmm, what a coincidence?

After a moment or so, the doorbell rang already. Gladly I just finished preparing, it took me about 3 hours just to make myself presentable, geez! I quickly went to the door, opening it with a smile as I saw my handsome Prince waiting outside. He is wearing his plain white shirt with a matching denim jacket and pants. I just felt my heart melt by just looking at him.

"Buongiorno, mia Principessa." [Good morning, my Princess.] He greeted as he entered.

"Buongiorno, mio Principe." [Good morning, my Prince.]

"You look stunning as always, Clarisse. Even the necklace suits you." He commented.

I held my necklace, "Grazie mille, you as well." You made my heart melt this early. In my thoughts, I'm giggling in silence.

"Are you ready for our today's adventure?" He asked.

"Supeeer excited, where will you take me anyway?" I curiously asked.

"You'll see, Clarisse." He winked at me as he grabs my hand, "For now, let's go to your basement."

I was stiffed in a second. Wait, what? Did I hear it right? Basement?!

"Basement?" I repeated and he nodded wearing his smile.

'Now what are we gonna do in the basement? Red dress in a basement, geez so cool!' Yeah right, I'm talking to myself again as always.

When we reached the basement, we went to a corner then he unclasped his hand from mine. He removed his ring out of his finger, focused while looking at it.

"Gemma dell'eternita, emetti la tua luce e guide la nostra strada." He uttered.

And at that moment, I saw the ring started to emit yellow glowing light. I suddenly realized that it was the gem! The eternal gem was inside Orion's ring all along.

"Clarisse, can you hold the fragment in your left hand?" He requested.

I immediately opened my heart necklace to get the gem inside, putting it in my left hand. I was still following him even though I don't have any idea what he is really up to. He suddenly held my left hand with his right hand while holding the gem, and it glowed even more.
