He pulled on my hand a little more as I chewed my mouthful of food.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I yelled as he drug me towards the sandy beach beneath the house we just ran out of.

I looked up to see the sun shining reflecting off of the large windows and onto the beach. It looked so beautiful.

"I wanna show you something." He looked at me with a tint of wild in his eye. He gave me a half smile and continued to run towards the beach.

Once we reached the sand, we headed toward a small cave-like structure carved into the side of the cliff the large house was resting on top of.

"What is this..." I said peeking my head through the large doorframe.

life It had hard smooth flooring that seemed to glow as lights from the ceiling shined down in it. It had two leather couches and a big flat screen tv sitting on a large black rock-looking-stand.

The entire place resembled the inside of an actual cave... Just with a plasma screen tv and a full kitchen.

He flung himself down onto one of the couches and grabbed my left leg.

Of course me, still admiring the decor in the cave, didn't realize he grabbed me. My eyes opened as I fell onto the place beside him.

"You know Grace... I really like you. I mean we've known eachother for about three years now and the question never really came around. I feel like it's time to ask you to be my girlfriend." He looked at me. His blue red burning holes in my fragile heart.

I opened my mouth to speak, but was still full of surprise. I had nothing to say so I just kissed him. I kissed him as hard and as loving as I could.

I felt his hands caress my back and he broke away. "Grace..."

He looked serious.

"Of course Daniel. Why wouldn't i? You're the best thing that's ever happened to me! I love you so much!"

And with that we got back to our kiss.

I had never kissed him like that before. Actually, I'd never kissed anyone like that before. It was so intense and loving. It was full of passion and lust. It was amazing.

"I should get you back up to the house before they think we disappeared." We both smiled and walked out of the doorway hand in hand.

I couldn't help but think about his skin on mine and how perfectly his hands cupped my face. I smiled at the thought of kissing him again. Then the memories flooded into my head as I remembered the older boys kissing me sloppily as I was trying to get away. Theirs arms all wrapping around me as i trembled against their large bodies. Screaming and crying was worthless-

"What are you thinkin about?" His voice thankfully made me lose my train of thought. His face looked worried.

"Nothin..." I said looking down at the sand. But he could always tell when I was lying. It was like a sixth scent. Ever since I first met him, I could never get away with a lie, even a little one. Like the time I ate his small piece of homemade peanut butter fudge out of his lunchbox. He automatically knew it was me once I spoke out.

I shook off all of the things going on in my brain and looked up to him again.

"If something was wrong, I would tell you." I commented with a straight face.

His jaw clenched and he shook his head. "Baby, you can tell me anything. You know that. I love you so so so much." He let out a laugh from his nose (I don't know how to word it...)

"I know." I reached up and pecked his nose. I crinkled my nose and made a weird face at him.

He picked me up and flung me over his shoulder. It looked so easy to him. Like I was only the weight of a feather.

He carried me the rest of the way until we reached the huge living room.

"Hey!" I said as he dropped me onto the giant couch.

"Love youu." He said making a dorky smile at me.

I rolled my eyes and clicked the remote to turn on the tv. The first thing that popped up was the 9 o'clock news.

"Seven dead as the fire raided the small building. Emergency services couldn't reach the flames in time to control the massive fire that broke out from an old oven explosion-"

I looked closely. "Oh my God." I said as I realized that the pizza place I just passed a few hours ago was burnt to the ground.

"Oh my god." I said once again a little louder making everyone turn to me.

My eyes were wide and my mouth had dropped to the floor as I watched the pictures of the people who died pass by in the screen.

My heart sank as I seen a picture of a small boy with black hair and tanned skin pass. My bottom lip trembled as I remembered him pounding on the glass as he smiled at me. "Wow..." Was all I could say.

You don't think about how precious life is. It only takes a few seconds for everything to be over. We need to learn to love more, and care more, and live more...
I shook my head and just let the tears roll down my face all for a little boy I didn't even know.
