The Maze of Trees(OLD)

Chapter 9

Leo took over Trevor entirely and summoned up the huge flaming lion, ready to try to tear the Lost apart. Lefu also got into a powered up form, which basically made him look like a huge 3D shadow with glowing red eyes. Flo and I stared into the Lost's eyes, seeming to be in a staring contest. Everyone aside from the people at the lock were still in tension, ready to pounce and fire weapons.
    I felt like the Lost and I were stuck in a staring contest. I was about to summon up the raccoon body when something flickered in it's eyes. Small, but something. I summoned up the feeling power and stumbled back into a sitting position as the tide of emotions tore down on my brain, making me close my eyes and grasp at my head. Fear, anger, loss, confusion, pity, and hope streamed around my head, multiple voices echoing out in a confusing choir of mixed growls, pleas, angry shouts, and whispered greeting. Then, in the midst of the chaos, one word chimed out like a bell, so pleading and scared that my eyes flew open to see the Lost right in front of me, its eyes right in front of mine. It growled and the others tensed, but I heard the whimper hiding behind it. Help.
Flo, how can we save them? I asked, searching in the mass of the creatures thoughts and plucking out four people, all fused into this creature.
There isn't a way. Unless... Flo responded, her voice unsure.
Unless what?
Unless.....we fuse with them, and bring them out.

...
Then...
?
Then that's what we'll do.
Flo seemed to gasp but didn't refuse as I summoned the raccoon body, and joined the Lost in their creature.
