Violet's house was wonderful.
It seemed like one of those houses descibed in the fairy tales' world, mushroom-shaped, all made out of wood and decorated with antique pieces of forniture. Behind an old sofa there was a burning wood fireplace.
***
I was laying on my bed while eating some food when I heard some noises coming from the sitting room and a voice calling my name.
It must be my likeable sister.
I found the courage to get up and headed to the sitting room.. I was right, it was Violet, but she wasn't alone.
"Hey Nicholas, let me introduce you to.."
"My pleasure." I puffed.
One of the two girls got closer to me.
She was short and even ugly: her curly hair seemed like a bird's nest.
She handed her hand out.
I spit to my right side and shook her hand, I saw people doing that recently.
"I'm Clare, it's my pleasure" she smiled at me.
"Nicholas" I answered bored.
Then it was the other girl's turn.
Chestnut brown, straight hair and thin. She was just a little higher than the other girl but compared to her, she seemed like a goddess.
I shook her hand too and smiled.
"Grace"
"Nicholas"
"Great, do you want to sit down for a tea?" stuttered my sister.
"I gotta piss" I answered.
"Nicholas YOU'RE DISGUSTING, there are guests and you behave in a revolting way! Someone help me.." I heard her screaming while I was heading to another room.
I swore.
Sometimes I think that without me she would live in a better way, I think she would feel more free. I don't have any goals in life, I do nothing from the morning to the night since our parents died.
I thought they were talking exactly about this, considering that I heard the dwarf saying "oh I'm so sorry.. it must be hard".
I entered the sitting room again and saw that the three of them had sat down to the table and they were sipping a mixed berries flavored tea, the smell was spreading everywhere.
"So you have a boyfriend, right?" asked my sister to Grace.
Why doesn't she mind her own business?
"Yes, exactly." was her answer.
Oh, perfect..and the nice one is gone, I'll have to content myself with the ugly one.
I sat down to the table with my legs opened wide and gulped some tea down.
I noticed Violet's disgusted look while the others didn't even pay attention to me.
We stopped eating and I barely noticed that a little guy was laying in a basket in front of the fireplace, he was covered.
He was staring at the fire and shivering.
"Since when do flying boys exist?" I asked.
"Dave? Oh, he's ill, let him alone" answered Violet.
"Sure, he's shaking!" I affirmed.
"Oh my God.. he's awakeeeee!" shouted Clare throwing a chair to the floor and running to him.
***
"Hey, everything's okay? How are you feeling? Are you hungry? Let me hug you!"
I hugged him tight to my chest and he spoke with a suffocated voice. Apparently, I used too much strength for the hug, I could feel him wheezing.
"Clare if you don't loosen your grip immediately, you'll find out how I'm feeling."
I let him fall down in the blankets again.
"Do you want something?" I was feeling guily for many facts that had happened lately.
"I just wanna leave, in case you've forgotten it, we only have one week of time" he stated.
"Okay, let's go."
He smiled at me.
The most beautiful smile I've ever seen.
