The entire plane ride, Delilah stared out the window, upset as Scarlett and Savannah laughed at her. Scarlett had to explain to Savannah in detail of how she looked when Jace carried her over the shoulder and once again, Delilah had to endure the embarrassment. Even Tyler, Mason, and Ashton was laughing at her. And Jace was already laughing from the beginning. It was embarrassing.
When they finally boarded, the girls headed to Savannah's house to freshen up for dinner at Jace's parent's house.
"I'm not going, I have no clothes to wear."
Savannah was still snickering from earlier much to Delilah's dispense, "Chill, Lilah. You can wear my clothes. I actually have a perfect dress in mind."
"Are you sure it'll fit?" Delilah didn't want to be in anything uncomfortable. Although she and Savannah had a smilier build, Delilah had to agree with Jace on this on, except for his nasty choice of words.
"Yes girl, it was to large on the breast area for me, which I'm sure you will fill out perfectly."
A few hours later, the three of them were on their way to Jace's parent's house with Delilah in Savannah's dress. Luckily the dress was comfortable and fit her top well. But the bottom was a bit tight. The black knee length dress was one color and had a square neckline. It was supposed to hug the chest to the waist and be little more loose at the bottom, but Delilah's butt was a little bigger and whenever she moved, the fabric stuck and shaped her butt perfectly. She had to admit though that the dress did look good on her and made her butt look good too.
When they finally got to Jace's place, both Delilah and Scarlett's jaw dropped. They had both seen and been to huge houses before. Heck, Scarlett even lived in one of those mansions, but Jace's was on a whole other level.
It was a dream for an architect to see such a magnificent house. The estate was huge and Delilah now knew the answer to why Jace was such a cocky bastard. The house was more on the traditional side which Delilah loved. It was brick and was as big as a castle. Unlike the other houses, this house was much bigger and had more land. The drive up the drive way took quite a while and there was a big golden gate at the entrance.
The front had 4 thick big white columns, two on each side of the centered the door. It was extremely intricacy designed that matched the design on the huge water fountain in the front spouting water out fantastically in a beautiful pattern. The light's all around made the place glow and there was a small garden in the front area where gorgeous flowers grew. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
When Savannah finally pulled around the circle halfway, the three got out of the car and while Savannah and Scarlett made their way up the many stairs that were designed very beautifully themselves, Delilah had to take a look at the beautiful water fountain that was sculpted out of marble. Realizing there was an engraving on it, she read what it said.
"To my dear husband, in every lifetime of ours, you will be all I ever need."
Delilah's heart soared for Jace's parents. She didn't even believe in love, but she guessed it was possible for some people.
As she walked up the many stairs, she saw that Savannah was introducing Scarlett to Jace's parents. Delilah awkwardly smiled as everyone just stood there staring at her when she came in. Finally Jace came up and introduced her to his parents.
"Mom, dad, this is Delilah Paige, she's the architecture major. Delilah, my mom, Carol and my dad, Blake."
Jace's mother was shocked for a second before she came out of it and immediately embraced Delilah in a big motherly hug. "It's so nice to meet you dear."
"It's nice to meet you too."
When she let go, Delilah shook hands with Jace's dad and gave her greetings.
Delilah smiled at the two and saw the resemblances of Jace. Jace looked more like his dad but had his mother's grey eyes.
"You're the architect my son told me about, am I correct?"
"I am and may I say your house is absolutely amazing." Delilah looked around as the inside of the house was even more grand than the outside. The ceilings were so high and although everything looked so expensive, it was also very homey.
Jace's mother gushed and waved it off, "Oh please. You know I actually designed it all myself."
Delilah was shocked, she kind of expected it, but still. "Wow!! Well you did an amazing job Mrs. Sullivan."
"Oh, call me Carol please. You can also call him Blake." She said putting her hand's on her husbands chest who reciprocated by wrapping his arms around his wife waist.
It was such a small gesture but it warmed Delilah's heart. His parents were genuinely in love and it was the cutest thing to see. They seemed like such nice people and judging from the fountain outside, they were truly in love.
"I saw your fountain outside and I must say that is the most beautiful fountain I have ever seen before."
Carol face lit up at talk of her fountain, and she blushed, while her husband laughed out loud and kissed his wife on the cheek.
"It's amazing isn't it? If you like her's, you should see mine in the garden."
"Anyways. Now that everyone's here, let's eat." Carol intertwined Delilah's arms with her own as they walked to the dining table together. "You know, you are the first girl my boy has ever introduced to us." She winked to Delilah and caught her off guard.
Delilah blushed and immediately refuted. "Oh, no, we're just- we just have mutual friends."
Carol chuckled, "Although I am surprised, I thought he was into blondes."
Delilah started waving her hands in the air, "No, no, no. We aren't together, we're nothing to each other."
Laughing out loud this time Carol let go of her arm to guide her to her seat. "I'm kidding, dear. Here, this is your seat."
Delilah blushed hard and against her pale skin, it was definitely visible. She automatically knew where Jace got his personality from. As she sat down, she noticed that Jace's mom had placed her right beside Jace who was sitting directly across from his mother.
Oh dear god. It was going to be a long dinner.
