Delilah was sitting in the car patiently waiting for the car to get closer to her apartment building, but as Jace was supposed to make a right to the street of her building, he made a left! Delilah removed her back from her seat.
"Wait, you just missed my turn."
Jace smirked, "Did I?"
Narrowing her eyes at him, she pursed her lips together, "You're not taking me home, are you?"
"Bingo."
Delilah shook her head. "Where are you taking me?"
Concentrating on the road and glancing back at Delilah, Jace smiled, "How about you guess? You're really good at that."
Chuckling, Delilah leaned her back against the seat. "Well, I guess I can say you got better at hiding it." Jace's deep chuckle vibrated throughout the car making Delilah shiver in pleasure. "By the way, you better not be drunk."
"A little too late for that."
"Jace." Delilah wasn't playing as she frowned at him.
Lightly chuckling Jace focused on the road in front of him even though he desperately wanted to see the angry expression on her face right now. Especially in that cop outfit. He groaned as he felt himself harden. He needed to control himself, not that she was helping him giving him a good view of her endless long legs and chest.
"I'm good. You can't get drunk off beer. Or at least I don't." Jace shrugged. Beer really couldn't get him wasted. You would need to give him something heavier to get him drunk.
Deciding to let it go, Delilah just hummed back in response. "How far is this place?"
"It might be a few minutes. You can take a short nap if you wish. There's a blanket in the back if want it."
Nodding, Delilah reached for the blanket and covered herself with it finally feeling a bit more comfortable at last. "Thank you."
"Anything for you." Jace winked at her making butterflies settle in her stomach that she tried to settle down.
As Delilah settled in her seat and closed her eyes, taking in the scent of the blanket that smelled just like Jace. A mixture of refreshing soap, fresh laundry, and a hint of expensive amazing smelling cologne. Jace glanced at her every minute to see her peaceful face. It was amazing how peaceful she was when she was sleeping.
When Jace finally arrived to the destination, he moved to wake Delilah up, but when he saw her sleeping face, he didn't have the hurt to disturb her peace. So, he just sat there and watched her cute sleeping face. Her lips were painted red and her cheeks had a natural tinted flush on them. Her brows were perfectly sculpted and her eyelashes were so long and thick. Jace didn't know what came over him, but suddenly, he just had the impulse to move it out of her face. Using his finger to ever so slightly brush it over her ear, Jace's finger roamed back to her face. His palm touched her cheek ever so slightly as his thumb moved on its own, caressing her cheek as he stared at her alluring full red lips, and started to lean in closer....when suddenly, Delilah's eyes opened wide.
Jace smiled down at her. "Looks like you're finally up." Ever so casually, he dropped his hand from her cheek and opened his door, "we're here, hurry up. I want to show you something."
As Jace got out of the car, Delilah flushed red and let out a shaky breath. She had been awake ever since she felt him move her hair behind her ear. Not knowing whether to wake up or not, she decided to pretend to still be asleep, but as she felt him move closer to her, she suddenly awoke. What was he about to do? What was he doing? Why had he caressed her cheek so gently? Delilah's heart was racing faster as she shivered but felt something warm flow inside of her. What did that mean? Delilah took a deep breaths in and out, oh dear lord, what was he doing to her?
