Pulling her into his arms, one hand on her waist, and one hand in hers, Jace swayed the both to the music.
Resting her head in his chest, Delilah breathed his wonderful scent in. She loved the way he smelled and although it calmed her heart a little. Dinner was a tornado and caused her to go turmoil. Delilah could feel her heart hurting and things were getting more complicated for her. Everything was getting out of her hands and Delilah was starting to think over a lot of things.
Jace sighed as he could hear Delilah's brain working. Jace dropped his hand from her waist and held onto her hand, nudging at her. "Come on, I want to take you somewhere."
Looking up at him, Delilah followed after him. Headed towards the beach, they made their way to the shore. The waves were crashing so loud against the shore and the view of the beach was magnificent at night.
Taking off his blazer, Jace set it down on the sand and sat down, patting beside him for her to sit down too.
Sitting down beside him, with her knees up, Jace sat down with his legs laid out in front of him and his hands holding him up behind him.
"It's nice isn't it? The waves crashing in and out."
Delilah nodded, "Very."
Leaning back all the way onto the sand with his hands behind his head, Jace looked up at the sky. "Lean back."
Looking behind her, she saw Jace laying down. Realizing what he meant, Delilah put her head on his bicep and snuggled into his side.
Sighing in content at her position, Jace reveled in the fact that she was next to him and had her hand on his chest. She fitted perfectly next to him and Jace smiled at that thought.
Looking up, Delilah saw the beautiful bright full moon above her and all the stars surrounding it. "Wow. This is a dream to see."
Jace chuckled as she scooted her head up a little and her hair tickled his face. Repositioning himself and unwrapping the arm her head was on so that they both were more comfortable, Jace could now wrap his arms around her. Drawing circles on her arm with his thumb, Jace kissed her temple as he looked back up to the stars.
"I told you I would bring you all around the world to see the best views in the world, didn't I?"
Nodding her head, Jace continued, "So you'll have to stay with me for me to do that, got it."
Delilah looked up at him to see him already awaiting an answer from her. Smiling and kissing him on the lips, Delilah answered teasingly, "I'm not staying with you just to see the world you know." She watched as Jace took it the wrong way and looked hurt. Delilah almost laughed at his priceless face. "I'm with you because I love you. Because you make me happy."
Satisfied with her answer, Jace brought his hand behind her neck and pulled her towards him giving her an intense and passionate kiss. Slipping his tongue into her mouth, Jace heard her moan against him and pulled her body against his. He felt the buds of her breast harden against his chest and Jace ran his hand up her sides, teasingly running his thumb along the creamy side's of her breast. Feeling her shiver against him and mewl against his lips, Jace was waiting for something to stop them because he didn't know if he would be able to stop himself.
And as he called, the universe answered. His phone stared ringing, bringing them both back to the present. Clearing her throat and getting off him, Delilah straightened her coat as Jace groaned and profusely looked for his phone. Finally finding it, Jace answered his phone.
"Hello."
"Jace!! I'm sorry to bother you, but could you come to my suite right now. I need you!! I just found Roger in bed with another girl." Jace could hear Chasity crying and hiccuping for him to come. It was just like high school all over again.
"I'll be there, send me your location."
"Ok."
Hanging up the phone, Jace sighed and got up hastily.
Delilah got up with Jace and swept the sand off her dress. "Is something wrong?"
Jace made sure to study her face as he was going to tell her what happened. "I have to go. Chasity just found her boyfriend cheated on her and wants me to be by her side right now." Watching her face scratch up and wince a little, Jace frowned. "Anyways, I'll be back later. Make sure you get inside safely ok?" Kissing her forehead, Jace leaned back and ran up to the resort to get where Chasity was.
Delilah stood there with the wind blowing her hair and dress to the side as she watched Jace run to the resort. Her face was full of bitterness as who he mentioned triggered the anger in Delilah once again.
Alone and with the wind blowing her face, Delilah was finally able to let her anger out and shout as loud as she wanted to, but why did nothing come out. She felt it in her veins and wanted to let it all out, but when she opened her mouth, she heard nothing. Then suddenly, she felt water dripping down her face and then and only then did she hear the moping loud sobbing cry come out of her mouth. She had never heard such a sound come out of her mouth and she cried even harder as she felt as if she couldn't breath.
Bending down onto her knees, Delilah lifted her shaking hands towards her face, trying to muffle her loud cries. Now Delilah got it. She thought that she had moved on. What a lie that was?
She always knew deep down inside of her, that she was never over it and she knew she could never get over it. The resentment was there and always would be. She hated him. She couldn't help it, but she hated all of them. Her heart was broken and there was no way to fix it.
Delilah wept in her hands as she thought about Jace. What was she going to tell him? It was clear to her, the two of them together would be too complicated and she didn't want to put him in that position. But Delilah didn't want to let go of him either. What was she going to do?
