Always Second

Chapter 25

After dinner, Delilah was back in her room, settling down and getting ready for bed as Scarlett laid in her bed watching her with her hands underneath her chin.

"So, how was the ice rink?"

Delilah was rubbing lotion all over her body as she looked at Scarlett through the vanity mirror. "It was good. By the way, Jace asked me to be his date at his Fraternity Formal, are you and Savannah going too?"

Chirping up, Scarlett beamed at her. "Omg!! Yess! All three of us will be going together, it's going to be so much fun!!" Scarlett was clapping her hands together as an idea popped in her head, "We should go shopping for a dress this weekend." Delilah groaned as she regretted mentioning everything she said. Now they were going to force her to go shopping with them. "Ooh!! I've got to call Savv."

As Scarlett walked out of her room, Delilah sighed and went to bed.

That following weekend, the three of them went shopping. And although for only one dress, as always Scarlett and Savannah couldn't help themselves and bought many more clothes.

Sitting on the bench and playing on her phone, Delilah was ready to go. She had already bought her dress, a few other things, and wanted to study. She had bought a long silk yellow spaghetti strapped dress that hugged her breast well and flowed down the rest of her body nicely. She also bought other casual beach wear and a bikini.

The fall semester was to be finished Thursday and they were supposed to be leaving Friday, to the resort in Florida. The actual formal will be held on Saturday and everyone would be leaving, Sunday afternoon.

Delilah didn't get it, but apparently at Fraternity Formals, you are supposed to get out of town and have a get away at a hotel or resort of their choice and apparently for Jace's greek house, they chose Florida. 

The days passed by and Jace and Mason came by to pick Delilah and Scarlett up. The four of them headed to the airport and met up with the other frat brother's and their dates. There were a lot of college students and they were all very loud and exited.

Delilah sat with the girls while Jace sat with his 'brothers' but mostly just with Mason, Tyler, and Ashton.

After about 3 hours, they finally landed and made their way out of the plane. As Delilah made the last step off, she was suddenly picked up swing into the air. She laughed and threw her head back onto the shoulders of the culprit. She automatically knew who it was when the person's big strong hands touched her and sent butterflies in her stomach.

"Hey." Jace whispered into her ear seductively and kissed the shell of it. He was still hugging her from behind with his hard front pressed against Delilah's soft back, as Scarlett and Savannah yelled to get a room. 

Delilah laughed as Jace came beside her and rested his hand on her lower back and walked with her to the car that was taking them to the resort.

Delilah looked around, it was so tropical and everything was green and it was super hot. It was complexity different than Massachusetts that was currently experiencing winter. When they made it to the resort, Delilah was amazed, it was beautiful and huge. The building was made out of glass and it was right on the beach. Hopefully this would give Delilah the opportunity to tan a little, lord knows she needed one. School was over for the semester and Delilah could finally relax.
