Dejonté's POV

Without question I punched Ronnie right in his face, and it hurt like hell too. Maybe it wasn't the brightest idea to punch a guy whose twice my size, but it sure felt good hearing the ooohhhs from the crowd behind me. Ronnie spits some blood out of his mouth.

Ronnie: I hope that felt good DJ...

Then he wipes it with his fingers and looks at it.

Ronnie: cause I'm going to make bigger pool of your blood right here.

He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a switch blade. Everyone around us ran except DeMarcus and Katie. Johnathan went wide eyed.

Johnathan: Ronnie, chill! You said we were going to rough him not kill him here at school of all places!

Ronnie: No, you don't understand! His gang killed Sean's parents in their own house, they have to answer for that! Starting with Mace, and now you.

Dejonté: Wait, that's what this is about? You shot my friend because you wanted revenge on us.

Ronnie: You damn right, and after I kill you here you're racer friend is next. Then my gang is ending Blake's career, then you're lady friend with the anger issues, then you're other tall lady friend. Lastly, after all of you guys die drowning within your own blood, we'll make sure The Crow die slowly. And I'll enjoy every single bit of it.

As soon he finishes he charges at me with his blade getting ready to stab me as swiftly pull out my gun. Surprisingly though our school security came in running at us with full speed.

Security: Hey, puts those weapons down and let's see those hands up!

Johnathan: Ahhh shi- I ain't having this on my record! Y'all on your own.

Johnathan takes off running in another direction and as Ronnie was looking away me, DeMarcus, and Katie took off together in another direction.

Ronnie: Dammit! This isn't over DJ!

Dejonté: It's Dejonté you idiot!

I shouted back at him, meanwhile as the three of us bum rushed out of the school and further down the street. We stopped for a moment to make sure nobody was following us. As we're in the clear Katie punched me in the shoulder.

Dejonté: Um, ow.

Katie: Yeah, that's how I feel emotionally. Were you not going to tell me that you're apart of one of the dangerous gangs in the state!

DeMarcus: Especially not if you were going to act like this.

Katie: Ah, of course you kept this to yourself.

DeMarcus: Hey, I didn't know until yesterday so I'm still wrapping my mind around it okay? Secondly, it wouldn't have been the brightest idea for him to say to you "Hey, I'm Dejonté, a 13 year old gang member who takes guns to school. Wanna hang with me and my best friend?"

Katie: You're right. My bad for trying to figure out what I could be getting myself into.

Dejonté: Alright, Alright just stop barking at each other. I'm sorry for not telling you what's been going on from the jump, and I know you both have a lot of questions for me but I need to go.

DeMarcus: Where? We all just basically ditched school under the most unfortunate circumstances. The police are going to be searching all over for us, most likey you.
