Everything was happening so fast. Her feet connected with the harsh rocks on the earth floor. The pain was harsh and she knew there would be blood but she couldn't stop now. She needed to find help and fast. Eddy relied on her.

Eddy

Bile raised her thought at the image of him sending a punch to one of their abductors while yelling at her to run. The fear that filled his eyes as he stayed to keep the abductors busy to give her time making part of her want to turn around, but she couldn't. They had been planning this and if she failed now, she didn't even want to begin to image what would be done to both of them.

The harsh cold nipped at her skin through the thin sweater and sweat pants she been given, her feet the only thing receiving slightly warmth from the thick socks that covered them. Breathing heavy she jumped over a fallen tree, feet sliding across the leaves but she was quick to regain herself and continue running. Everything was happening so fast; she had no idea where she was or how far behind they were from her. Coming to stop by a tree, she frantically looked around, her heart beating so hard that she swore it was the only thing she was hearing. It was dark, casting an unsettling feeling over her as the shadows that filled the forest circled her.

Now stopping, it seemed the emotions she had pushed down were surfacing, causing tears to blur her vision. Rubbing to remove the tears, she forced her legs to keep going. Somehow through the pounding of her heart, she heard noises. Like cars almost. Her legs carried her further at the thought, hands pushing through branches of small trees and bushes until the feeling of harsh rock was replaced with pavement.

Looking through the darkness, it seemed she had come upon a road. Hope, the first time she has felt since being taken sparked within her chest. If she just followed this, she could find help.

She stayed on the side, arms folded around her chest in an attempt to stay warm as she walked fast, listening for any other noise.

That was when a pair of bright lights came from ahead. The rumbling of an engine greeting her ears. This time, she wouldn't fight the tears that started to run down her face as she started to wave, standing in the middle to get the attention of the driver. It worked, for as the car got closer it came to a sudden stop. The lights blinding her from seeing her hero.

"Please, you have to help me!" She quickly scrambled to the side, her voice raw and sore from lack of water, her eyes squinting to better see the person. The driver side door groaned as it opened, the faint sound of shoes connecting with the ground. It worked, she found help and this nightmare was going to end!

As the individual climbed out of their car, her heart picked up it's pounding as they came into view. It wasn't the site of the individual that had her taking a few steps back but the sight of the second shadow behind them that had her losing her footing and falling onto the ground.
