Too Good at Goodbyes

Its been 4 years since the deafeat of Muzan. And its been 4 years since Shinobu left. Giyuu is currently sitting on the roof of the Butterfly Estate where he and Shinobu spend her last night before the war and the night he saw her last genuine beautiful smile. He looks up to the sky and fix his gaze on the moon and suddenly memories of the past with Shinobu crossed his mind.

You must think that I'm stupid.

"Tomioka-san~ are you listening tomioka-san?" she said as she poke him

"Tomioka-san why you always ended up hurting yourself?" she said with a smile but he knows that she's angry.

"Dunno." he said

Those are the times that Shinobu always pointing out his stupidity ever since he hurt himself in training.

You must think that I'm a fool.

"Tomioka-san do you know that no one likes you? thats her famous word everytime they met.

You must think I'm just new to this.

"Tomioka-san have you ever loved someone?"

Silence.... 😐

"Oh~I forgot that someone will never loves you back! fufufu~" she giggled

Now I know you will never love me back.🙁

But I have seen this all before.

"You know what? I hate you tomioka-san." she said with vein on her forehead

I never gonna get you close to me

"Tomioka-san we're always sent on a mission together frequently why dont we try to get along." She said while they're running in the forest

"I'm only here to slay demons."

I cant get along with you or them because I dont deserve to be with you.

Cause everytime I open up it hurts

"Tomioka-san I want to know you better. Why won't you let me too?" she asked one time they have a tea together.

" Because its not important." He sighed

I dont want you to be part of my life because all of the people I care so much ended up dead.

Incase you go and leave me in the dirt.

"Tomioka-san I hate you please remember~" she said with venom in her voice

"No one will love a person like you tomioka-san" she poked harshly

" You're always be alone tomioka-san~" she is jabbing harder

Yes you're right no need to remind me.

And everytime you leave me
The quicker this tears dry

"Kocho why... Why did this happen?" Giyuu asked still staring at the moon that shining so bright in the night sky.

After a minute he hopped from the roof and sit at the porch instead.

And everytime you walkout  the less I love you

"I hate you too Kocho" he said as tears start falling on his face

Baby we dont stand a chance
Its sad but its true

"I think faith wont let us together do we?" as he said that the demon slayer mark appears on his face. He slowly  closed his eyes

" I never got a chance to say goodbye."

I'm way too good at goodbyes

"Tomioka-san~" his eyes snapped open to see his annoying butterfly

"Kocho" he reach out and touch her face

"I'm sorry if I leave you but now I wont leave you again. Lets go tomioka-san" she hold his hand and he nodded silently with a smile

"My~my~ so you can smile~" she teased as they walked together

By the morning comes tanjiro walked through the estate and spotted giyuu sitting on the porch. He approach him and call his name but no response he realize that the pillar was already passed away. He cried and sit next to him and saw that he is smiling.

"Goodbye tomioka-san. I know you're happy now" as he said that two butterflies flew past him the other one was blue while the other was purple.
