You are Coach Ukai’s niece and you already graduated High School from Tokyo. Your uncle requested that you move to Miyagi for the mean time, and help him take care of the your grandma’s shop. It turned out he was hired to become the coach of a High School Volleyball Team in his old school a few weeks ago.
Your father encouraged you to go, since you wanted to take a break from studying anyway.
“Uncle Keishin!!!” you left your luggage where the taxi had dropped them to run to your uncle.
“Oh, if it isn’t my annoying niece.” He smirked. You puffed your cheeks and pouted.
“Pfft. You’re still a bully as always.” You crossed your arms in front of you.
“Come on inside, I just got back from school.” He chuckled and guided you inside.
You were already inside the shop when the door opened again and a group of guys entered the shop. You noticed some stayed outside and looked like they were surrounding something. Three of them entered the shop.
The one in the middle already caught your attention because of his manly aura surrounding him that was complemented by his gentle face. He had short dark brown hair that suited him very much.
He was the first one to talk. “Coach! We’re gonna buy the usual curry—” but stopped in mid sentence when he noticed you watching them.
“Ah, Sawamura. Of course, the buns!” your uncle muttered while he began to prepare whatever they were talking about.
“By the way, that’s my niece. You be nice to them, (Y/N). These are the students I coach.”
“Oh! Hello. I’m (L/N)(Y/N). Like what he said, i’m his niece. Thank you for having me.” You bowed and gave them a close-eyed smile.
“I’m Sawamura Daichi. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He bowed and gave you a kind smile which made you blush a little.
The other two also introduced themselves as Sugawara Koushi and Azumane Asahi.
“Oh, by the way. There were luggage outside, are those yours?” Daichi asked.
“Wahh, I totally forgot! Yes, those are mine.” you laughed and was about to go outside when he stopped you.
“I’ll get it for you. They look heavy.”
“Y-you don’t have—” He immediately took off and get your luggage.
Sugawara and Asahi chuckled. “Yeah, but he’s gonna do it anyway.”
“Here’s your buns. Get home quick and eat a proper meal!” your uncle gave them three paper bags of buns and gave it to Sugawara.
“Why did you make him carry your luggage.” Your uncle frowned at you as Daichi put them down.
“I was trying to stop him though.” You pouted.
“It’s nothing.” He smiled again.
“Thank you for the buns and for training us today, Coach.” Asahi said and the three bowed.
Your coach nodded his head and they started to get moving.
“Nice to meet you again, (L/N)-san.” Daichi said and smiled again.
“Y-yes. You’ll be coming back here, right? I-I mean, you guys. I’d like to make friends with you.”
They looked surprised but agreed anyway.
They seemed like kind people but even though you won’t admit it, that Sawamura Daichi gained your interest. He seemed like a gentle person with such a manly build.
“I’m thinking... he’s the captain, no?” you finally asked your uncle who was squinting his eyes on you.
“W-what?” you raised your eyebrow at him.
“He is and what of it?” he copied you and raised his eyebrow too.
“I just thought it suits him.” You looked away and pretended to check your things.
“Ahuh. Does it? I thought you’ll think it was Asahi.”
“He looks fierce but I-I Sawamura-kun looked more... authoritative.” you explained while your uncle went to the counter and pull out some cigarettes.
“Sawamura-kun huh?” he smirked.
“Stop that.” You pouted.
“I’m not doing anything.” He shrugged with a snicker.
You rolled your eyes and lifted up your luggage.
“I’ll go ahead and settle in.” You huffed and rolled your eyes at him again.
