He's dense. So dense.
You puffed your cheeks as you watched Kageyama practice with Hinata. You couldn't help but be jealous even with your cousin.
You already admitted that you liked Kageyama but the guy just couldn't get a hint. He was so purely in love with volleyball that he doesn't seem to notice your feelings for him.
"Is something wrong, (Y/N)-chan?" Yachi asked when she noticed your upset expression.
You thought of it for a moment and faced Yachi who was a bit flustered by your sudden attention.
"Hitoka-chan! I like Kageyama." You said straightforwardly that Yachi fell from her seat.
"E-eh?!! You do?" you nodded and sighed in defeat.
"Although he doesn't notice it." You pouted. "I wish he would."
"Why don't you confess to him?" she asked.
You blushed and played with your hair.
"I-I may look confident but I'm actually not. I'm scared that he'll reject me."
She looked surprised at your sudden timid expression. She turned to look at Kageyama who was shouting at Hinata.. [Kageyama: Boke! Hinata Boke!].
Yachi thought of the recent days that passed that she saw you and Kageyama. She smiled.
"I think he likes you too."
Your eyes widened. "Are you sure?"
She scratched the back of her head.
"Hehe, not really. But looking at Kageyama-kun, he's not good at expressing his feelings with words. He's usually calm and stoic with everyone but when you're speaking with him, he's always blushing and stuttering."
You did not notice that. "He does?"
Yachi nodded. "If it's Kageyama-kun, it's better to be straightforward with him like you always are." She gave another close-eyed smile.
She's right. You always tell Kageyama how amazing and cool he was in his face. You thought he'll get it that you always do that to show him that you like him but... he's Kageyama.
You stood up and looked at his direction.
Kageyama was throwing the balls mercilessly at Hinata. He wanted to end it with a jump serve and in the midst of doing so, someone shouted.
"KAGEYAMA-KUN, I LIKE YOU A LOT. PLEASE GO OUT WITH ME!" you said looking at him with your usual expression when talking to him.
Your words hit him straight through his heart unlike the ball that hit his head.
Someone wolf whistled and the others clapped their hands.
"How dare you get a confession before us!!" Tanaka shouted.
"Don't just stand there, Kageyama. Aren't you gonna answer?" Daichi nudged him.
Hinata looked shocked.
Kageyama just saw you, with your genuine awe with him. You're eyes, pretty as always and your smile very heart warming.
"O-ok." He regretted saying it that way but it you already looked happy.
"Waaahh, yeeey!" you cheered and you hugged Yachi.
"Ow." Kageyama was hit with a ball by Hinata.
He was pointing at Kageyama accusingly.
"Y-you're stealing my c-cousin's affection!!! I knew it!"
"Shut up, boke!"
