ELIJAH
As soon as that woman bumped into me I knew she had to be one of his new employees. My father always chose the blonde ones with big tits and a firm ass.
There's something about her though that gives me the feeling she won't put up with his shit. Good.
"Sit down," the man I, unfortunately, call my father nods toward the black leather chair, but I just shake my head.
"I'm fine where I am." Well, that's a blatant lie with how my leg has been fucking with me ever since I came back, and my foot also hurts like a bitch after the blonde stomped on it. "Just tell me what's so important that I had to come all the way out here. I don't have all day."
Technically, I do have all day. He doesn't need to know that, though.
"I talked to your mother," he says, obviously picking up on my mood.
"You did? Wow. That is a surprise. Must be something serious if you two actually talk to each other." I can't help the sarcasm in my voice.
My parents are the kind of couple you don't want to be. They never talk, they only cheat on each other and basically only spend time together when a camera is by their side.
"You can leave that attitude outside, son," he says while pouring himself a glass of whiskey. The fact that it's only eight in the morning doesn't seem to bother him and doesn't surprise me either.
"Since you've made it clear that you didn't want to stay with us we decided to buy you a house."
"You what? Why?"
They bought me a fucking house?! I really cannot wait to hear the catch with this one.
"Well, there are some conditions."
Yeah, I fucking knew it...
"We insist that you let someone else live with you to take care of the cooking and stuff like that."
"I can cook perfectly fine."
"I don't care," he simply answers.
Okay, Elijah. Take a deep breath. Calm down. If you punch him things will only get worse.
"I really don't think I need a babysitter. I'm thirty-two years old."
"She won't be a babysitter. Your doctor insisted that you..." he tries to explain, but I don't even let him finish. "She?! You make me live with a random woman?!"
This is a new level of fucked-up-behavior from my father. He's never cared much about me, just did what looks good in the tabloids or what's good for the business. Of course, he can't have people know about my issues. That would ruin his reputation.
"Son, it's just for the beginning. We need to make sure you can heal properly. This is not up for discussion. Live with her or with us."
He acts like I'm fifteen years old, for fucks sake...
"That's low. Even for you," I can't help but mumble as I shake my head.
"Well, I don't care. Orders from the army were that you would have to be looked after for a year if you want to even think about going back there. You already spent six months with us so the other half is your decision."
He really doesn't need to remind me of that fact. I still think one year is fucking ridiculous but it is what it is.
"Six months," I finally give in, "That's it."
"We have a deal then. I already found someone for you. She just needs to agree."
Yeah, that doesn't surprise me at all.
