"Ms. Gaunt, I was told that you need to go to Headmaster Dumbledore's office", squeaked a second year Slytherin girl.
Morrigan was in the common room couch, legs swung over Draco's. He had her notepad in his hands and she was examining the supposed book couple that resembled them. She got up and patted the girl's shoulder.
She gave one look to Draco.
"Don't spoil Shatter Me, I've only read one book, you read two. So far the creeper part, its you, love", she said playfully.
He laughed and dismissed her.
Soon, she muttered the password to Dumbledore's. She'd assume all the champions were to be there, but once she stepped inside the office, it was only her and a pacing Dumbledore.
He motioned stoicly to the girl.
"Ms. Gaunt, please take a seat. I have important matters to discuss with you. On the way you can help yourself to a chocolate frog", he said sitting down.
She stayed in the dais unmoving. She wasn't going to sit down or get a chocolate frog unless she was told the meaning of this.
"Oh, or you can stay there if you'd like. I fear you do not trust me enough, child. Now, I need to know when did you see Bartemius Crouch Sr. last time?", he asked.
She furrowed her eyebrows and crossed her arms, smirking.
"Yesterday. He invited Draco and me for tea at Hogsmeade. Since then, I haven't seen him. Perhaps I will speak to him before the last task", she said.
"Ms. Gaunt, I speak with you because he was found dead today at the edge of the forbidden forest. Since you were the last to see him alive, it is part of the investigative procedure to ask you", he continued, arranging his half moon glasses.
"Then, I suggest to ask Potter, sir. He was actually the last one to be with him. He wanted to offer a summer apprenticeship to him. As you can see, Draco nor I were the last ones to see him. Why isn't Potter here if he found the body this morning. You see, I fear this isn't as disclosed as you would want it to be. Word already reached Slytherin", she said finally sitting down and perching her feet in his table.
His eyes widened for a second as he glared at the leather Mary Jane shoes. It was the first time he had met someone just like him that spoke with a deadly calm but was not afraid to take polite jabs.
"Mr. Potter was cleared since he found the body. Now, as suspects, we need your testimony and to examine your wand", he said.
"Oh, Albus. Draco and I were already cleared by Professor Moody this morning. I wanted to put on record that we are in fact, very innocent. Potter in the other hand, wasn't cleared. You think you know everything that happens in this castle, but you certainly don't. Not everyone bows to you", Morrigan said, already taking more literate jabs at the man.
