"So, Pretty Golden Boy Diggory has a nice ring to it. Now, tell me. I know you were thinking about entering. Why, Ced?", Morrigan exhaled, leaning into the bench in the library.

"I told you before, I want to do something for my house. Gryffindor has Potter, Slytherin has you and Ravenclaw has Luna Lovegood, what does Hufflepuff have?", he asked back.

"It has you Cedric, a man that is kind and loyal beyond any extent. A man that pushed aside all house prejudice and became one of my best friends. You don't need to prove yourself further than that. With your bloody determination, why weren't you sorted as a Slytherin?", she asked.

"Because I am not ruthless or sly, I don't even know how to lie. Just, I want the glory for my house and for my friends. Besides, it's not like I'll get chosen. There are so many students who put their name in. It's alright, Mor. You don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine", he says.

"In fact, I'll always be fine if I have my Slytherin best friend next to me. You know what? I actually researched and indeed the best friendships there can be is between a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin. How's the engaged life treating you?", he finishes.

She admires Cedric. He is the only person she could talk to about all the messy emotions running through her and he would listen. He was a great advice-giver but even a better listener. He is kind and has a pure soul. One that she thought would be tarnished with all her plotting and deceiveness. However dark she got, Cedric wouldn't mind. He would never judge.

"Yes, I'm glad we stumbled upon each other at the train although I almost kill you. Seriously though, don't risk your pretty face in that tournament, Ced, I have a bad feeling is all. Moody is also giving me a hard time, I assume you heard what happened yesterday at his class?", she replied.

He nodded his head and searched her eyes. Her icy blue orbs were tired. She had been probably plotting all night again in that little book of hers.

"I heard. Don't provoke him further. He's mad. When have you actually have a full night's sleep? I see you are tired from all those cogs that turn in your mind. If you don't sleep by tomorrow, I'll be telling lover boy about it. He'll go all mother hen on you", he chuckles, stretching a hand to her.

She rolled her eyes and gave him a playful nudge.

Days passed, as usual, she tried to get a reaction from Moody. Her spies had located him various times inside the Potion's closet. He always entered when Snape har corridor duty. He always left with the same ingredients. Those to do a polyjuice potion.

There were no other leads on him. She needed to confront him if she really wanted to know who he is. She would, but not now.

Today was the day the champions got selected. She was nervous about Cedric. Nervous about this whole thing. It was clear that this was not a mere coincidence. She just didn't know yet how things would play out. Perhaps today, everything would be clear.
