"Mrs. Malfoy, I am very sorry that I called for Draco yesterday, it was very impatient of me. I should have let the week pass. My apologies if I am an inconvenience, it was truly near desperate to get out of the manor", Mor said, bowing her head in recognition.
"Nonsense dear, If I heard before that you were locked up alone in that ridden Manor I would have come to get you before. Maeve would have wanted me to rescue you from that place. Oh, and there is no need for formalities. Cissa will do. Now, Draco, I trust you can escort our esteemed guest to her chambers", dismissed Narcissa.
Morrigan Gaunt only smiled at the mother of one. Draco took her arm and wasted no time to get to her room. Malfoy manor was anything but cold. It had always the dark academia aesthetic that she's grown to love, but the gardens were cared with colorful flowers, the walls were not cold and unwelcoming. It somehow, felt warmer and inviting.
When they arrived, Draco closed the door and embraced the girl, kissing her temple.
"Mor, I promise that we'll get to the bottom of this. Together. If were always truly working for him, then you'll have them soon under your command. They will answer to you. You still have the element of surprise over them. We can plan everything later on, but I need to know. Are you all alright? Did they do anything to you?", he asked examining her face.
She sat in the bed and sighed. The people who took her in and cared for her were the same that killed her parents.
"I will be fine, Draco. It's just a lot to take in. I don't know if i can trust Aidan, the closest thing I've had to a brother. Were they in the regime with him when he decided to kill my parents? I-I, there is such uncertainty, but I couldn't be near them. Not until I have a plan at least", she said, taking his hand.
"We'll find that out too. Together. I promise", he said, leaning into her shoulder.
She brushed her thumb on his hand while they stayed like that. She liked Draco's warmth and comfort. Even with few words she was able to feel at home. She was able to feel at ease, not defensive and not thinking.
He was her breath of fresh air.
Draco pulled away and encased her cheek in his hand, eyeing her diamond clad wrist.
"You haven't taken off the bracelet?", he asked almost incredulously.
"Was I supposed to?", she retired, smiling softly.
"No. Of course not. Remember I what I told you. Soon enough it'll be a ring. One that anyone can notice from afar-"
"It seems like you want others to notice I am yours, think you are sly, Malfoy?", she asked with eyebrows perched.
She reached for her hand and traces his face. He shudders but has his charming smile nevertheless.
"Are you, Mor?", he asked.
