After a wonderful dinner at a nice restaurant. I told Daniel to meet me at a building so I won't give away the place. Even though I told him to wear something to swim in. I didn't think about that.
"So where are we going?" Daniel asks
"Follow me" I smile, and lead him to the beach
"Yeah, I already knew" he laughs
I scoff playfully and jog away, while Daniel followed me. I pulled out two surfboards. "Now, to see who is better" I smile
"Wow, I haven't been surfing in awhile"
"So I'll be better, haha" I stick out my tongue after
"No, that just means you're going to feel bad after I beat you"
"No, I surfed my whole life. There's not even a point to hype yourself up" I smile "but you'll do great" I laugh, walking away with my board. Daniel soon joining by my side.
"Who's first?"
"I don't see why we can't go together" I shrug and slowly step in, adjusting to the water.
"Is it cold?" Daniel asks
"Very cold" I pretend to shiver and continue to walk in.
At this point Daniel decided to go in, realizing the temperature of the water "no it's not!" He says and jogs in a bit causing the water to splash "I can catch a wave first" he says placing the board down.
"Everything is a competition with you, isn't it?" I say and copy the same action he just did
"You're the one who wanted to know who was better at surfing!" He laughs
I laugh with him before speaking "actually I'm going to prove to you I am more skillful, because I already know" I say
"That probably has to be the most mature think you've said since the five months I've known you" he laughs
"Shut up" I laugh with him before laying down on my board and paddling out. Daniel doing the same action just a bit away.
Once I got a wave and was standing. I was yelling in victory until I realized daniel was right behind me.
"You thought I didn't catch that one!"
I simply stayed quiet and immediately went back out to get another wave.
"Are you upset I may be better than you?" Daniel speaks
"You know I'm going to admit, you're not bad of a surfer. Shit, you're actually good!" I compliment
"thanks and you're as good as I expected" he laughs and I stick my tongue out at him "c'mon it's getting dark" he says
"Few more waves" I stick out my bottom lip
"Okay, a few more then we'll go walk around" he smiles and I give him a quick kiss before happily going into the water and surfing some more.
"Y/n you said a few more waves, it's been an hour" he laughs
"Okay, let's go now" I smile and bring back the boards I had borrowed from the store nearby
