In my usual sweatpants and hoodie. This time a dark blue color, both matching. I walk around the room admiring all of the kids around the age of six.
There are about twenty of them. There is a group of four who are actually trying to dance and are succeeding by simply looking at the screen and of course practice. There is a pair of two who are running around letting out a fit of giggles. There is a group of eight who are watching the screen of dance but only being able to do the arm movements or the foot steps. Then the rest of them are following me around like puppies.
"Can you play tag?"
"How do you know to dance?"
"Can we play tag you're it"
"Do you have candy I can borrow?'
"We can play tag later, I grew up dancing and lots of years of practice, and I don't have candy that you can borrow or at all" I softly laugh
"Later can I borrow candy?"
"Yeah you can borrow candy later" I smile
"When is later?"
"Yeah when's later?'
"When I say so" I laugh and slowly jog around the room so they still have a close distance with me.
"Y/n! Four o'clock!' Tristan yells
"Okay good luck! I wild them up you for you" I laugh and look back at the small group of running and laughing kids.
I go into a my usual studio room. To see two young girls, probably in their early teens. I wave hello and I go up to one of them carefully grabbing their phone and plugging it in.
Easily playing music because they have already set it up. I move to the middle of the room and I watch as they dance to the beginning of the song "let's go!" I cheer
"This is why I love her" Kayla says to her sister Kami
"Was it step pop step? Or step pop slide!" Kami asks
"It's both in a way" I answer, and I step, do a hand movement away from my chest step with my right and slide with my left. The two easily copy me and continue in with the first half of the choreography.
A few hours later we choreographed the second half and performed the whole dance in one last go. All three of us a bit out of breath.
"That was great girls!" I cheer and give them two double high fives
"I know! I'm really glad Kayla said we should sign up for summer classes!'
"I told you it would be worth it" Kayla smiles
"Well I'm glad both of you have done it! Either way it's almost 7 so your mom should be here soon, but Mariah will accompany you two" I smile and walk to the back lounge and wave as they go into the the lobby.
"Where are they?" Mariah asks
"The lobby" I simply answer and grab a redbull out of the fridge, quickly opening it and taking a sip from it.
