------------

The plane ride home from Arizona was filled with dead silence. Not even Reid spoke, which Giselle found quite unusual, considering that he made it a habit to vent to her on the way home from a case. Instead, he was sat in the corner of the jet fast asleep. As she watched Spencer sleep peacefully with his head resting against the window, Giselle thought back to their conversation that took place a few weeks back where Spencer mentioned his insomnia. It seemed as if he was crashing now- his mouth wide open in a deep sleep.

Giselle was surprised with how long she could she could keep herself entertained in her own head. She didn't even do as much as pick up a book before the jet landed back in Quantico and the team started to rise from their seats to retreat back home. The jet jolted as it landed on the strip, which woke up Spencer. When he opened his eyes, he turned straight to Giselle and shot her a smile. She politely smiled back before grabbing her things from the compartment above her, waiting for Spencer to catch up. And once the rest of the team was gone, it was just the two of them on the jet.

"You feeling okay?"

Spencer asked her as she watched him grab his messenger bag from under his seat.

"Yeah. Just ready to go home."

Spencer nodded before looking back up at her.

"You're still coming over to my apartment, right? So we can.. uh... talk?"

The tall man scratched the back of his neck as he spoke to Giselle.

"Uh- yeah. I am."

She cleared her throat and pulled her bag onto her shoulder.

"I'm not sure where it is, though... do you mind giving me a ride?"

Spencer shook his head.

"Not at all. Lets just meet up with the team and then we can head out. I can drive you to your car later tonight if you want."

Giselle nodded.

"Okay. That's fine with me."

The two awkwardly nodded at each other before breaking away and setting off to catch up with the team. Giselle wanted so badly to just stay calm... it was just Spencer... but something deep inside of her was making her feel like throwing up. She felt like a bundle of nerves, but she had no clue why. It was just Spencer.

...right?

------------

"Welcome to my... humble abode..."

Spencer swung open the door to his apartment and ushered Giselle inside before gently shutting the door behind them. The car ride over was uneventful. Spencer made awkward small talk, but it was hard for them to talk about anything while the promise of the night to come was right in front of them. Spencer didn't know what was about to come, but Giselle was fully aware of what she would tell him. And quite frankly, she was terrified out of her mind.

She hadn't told anyone about what she had been through... but something about Spencer made her want to. Why was that?

"Wow... I love it."

Giselle looked around the room in awe. Books were stacked up against the walls in thousands- the walls painted green like her eyes. His furniture was vintage and well loved- most of them sporting a polished brown wood stain. There was paper scattered all over his desk- Giselle assumed they were pertaining to cases they had been working on. Spencer hated working on a computer, and Giselle didn't blame him for that. Computers slowed her down.
