10:57 PM:

"Are you absolutely sure about this?"

"Why the hell would I lie about something like that?"

Following the cognitive interview, Spencer was in mere disbelief and almost doubt of Giselle.

"You realize what this could do if it's wrong... right?"

Giselle, who had been pacing back and forth for around 5 minutes, scoffed and turned to look at Spencer in disgust.

"I'm not wrong, Spencer. She was there."

Spencer threw his arms up in the air and walked over to Giselle. They had been going back and forth about this since the interview, which was around 10 minutes prior. Falsely accusing the chief of police in this way would be absolutely detrimental to the BAU.

"Cognitive interviews can sometimes be wrong. You can make up things and fill in the blanks based on what you know now."

Giselle laughed sarcastically.

"Oh, and what do I know now, Spencer? What would I know that could change the story?"

Spencer shrugged.

"I don't know- maybe the fact that you hate Reagan? Isn't that reason enough?"

Giselle walked towards him, crossing her arms over her chest in defense.

"I don't hate her- I had a strange feeling about her. And from the way she treated me just a few hours ago, it's pretty clear that she doesn't like me that much either."

Spencer put his hands on his head, making his shirt lift up slightly- revealing his toned abdomen.

"Giselle- you don't understand."

Spencer walked close to her, desperately trying to reason.

"We need solid proof. A cognitive isn't enough."

Giselle squeezed her eyes shut, feeling like it was all too much.

How was she supposed to continue when her person didn't even believe her?

It seemed as if Spencer knew exactly what Giselle was thinking, because without another thought, he grabbed her waist and pulled her into his arms.

"I believe you. Okay?"

Giselle nodded, willing herself not to cry.

It's funny- Giselle was never an emotional person. She never cried at movies, she didn't cry during funerals. She was always stone cold. But Spencer's touch made her disintegrate into ash. It made her melt into a pool of emotions- something that nobody ever made her feel before.

Spencer let her go and pulled out his phone, dialing a number. Giselle, now feeling empty without his touch, tried to pull herself together.

"Garcia?"

"Heyyyy pretty boy! What's crackin?"

Garcia's beautiful, comforting voice chimed on the other side of the phone, making both of the young agents smile in relief. At least someone could still smile.

"Hey, Garcia- I need you to do a search on Chief Reagan at the Chicago PD."

"Got it. Let's see..."

After a few empty moments of keyboard clacking, Garcia spoke up.

"According to Chicago PD records, Michelle Elise Reagan was born in Batesville, Indiana on April 16, 1978... She was brought into this world by Margaret Reagan and Paul Reagan... and that's all I can find. Huh."
