What first inspired you to start writing and at what age did you start?
I've been writing for as long as I can remember,, just like little stories here and there. But I really got serious about it around the age of 13 when my english teacher told me I had potential to be a really good author.
What challenges do you face as a writer?
Well one is just thinking of the plot. but others include having to continuously update and dealing with people who don't like the genre I write.
What do you think makes a good story? Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
Normally I'll think of the type of story I want (romance, comedy, horror, thriller, etc.) then I watch movies of that genre, read books, listen to music that gets me in the mood and brainstorm a lot.
How has writing affected your life?
Well it's helped me in school a lot with essays and stuff. And it's something I'm very passionate about which is actually a first.
How did you discover wattpad?
When I was in my One Direction obsessed phase and was looking for good fanfics lol
What activities other than writing do you enjoy taking part in during your free time?
I love reading, listening to music and binge watching Netflix. I'm pretty boring.
How important do you think cover art is for a story here on wattpad?
Honestly, I hate to say it, but I think it's super important. Cover art is the first thing I look at when I see a story, I think the cover art really shows how much time they put into their work. It's shows professionalism and draws readers in.
How emotionally invested are you in your work? Do you take parts of yourself and include them into characters or scenes?
I'm actually very emotionally invested, like I basically take the different aspects of myself and multiply them by 100 times to make a character. I take risks, so in my story Savagery, I made them take risks (although I would never do anything of that sort).
Do you have a process or specific steps you take while writing and updating?
No, I'm so disorganized it's terrible. I kinda just write when I get an idea, and just let the words flow when they want.
Do you read and answer comments? In what ways do they affect you if at all?
I read all my comments, I love seeing the different feedback from people and how my readers react to things. I'll respond to some comments, if they catch my eye or it's a serious question. I want to answer all of them but it would take forever haha.
How do you cope with your up and coming popularity?
I have almost 25k followers and I still don't consider myself that "popular" I guess. I don't know, I still see myself as just the girl who loves to write. It warms my heart when people send me messages saying I'm their idol and stuff but I can't wrap my head around it. It is dificult, however, when people start hating or being rude to me. But I just politely tell them that rudeness gets them nowhere and I move on with my life.
Finally, is there anything else you would like to say to your supporters?
I love each and every one of my readers, whether you've been here since the beginning or you've only just read one chapter of one of my stories. You guys are incredible x
