1. At what age did you start writing and how did you realize you wanted to do it?
I honestly can't remember when I first started to write! I think it must've been around the age of 10. I've always had a reeling imagination and most nights I would lie in bed and just create stories in my mind, so when I started putting them down on paper, that's when I realized how much I really loved it.
2.What challenges do you face as a writer?
My biggest challenge is probably overcoming writer's block. I seem to inconveniently get it every time I sit down to write a chapter. It's hard because I know what's going to happen in the chapter and I'll write it all in my head in my spare time, but when it comes to actually typing it out, I have no motivation and it never comes out the way I want.
3.Who or what is your biggest inspiration as a writer?
Harry Styles, definitely. Harry has been the pinpoint of all my writing for the past 2 years now. I have a whole word document filled with a collection of little paragraphs I've written about him. He makes me feel so many different things. I can't explain it.
4. How has writing affected your life?
It's come to the point where all my free time will be spent creating possible scenes to add to my story. It's affected my life so much, not a day goes past where I don't think of my characters or my stories or my plot lines, it's insane!
5. How did you discover wattpad?
I joined twitter in 2011 and people were always talking about fanfics on there, so that's probably how I heard it about it.
6. Do you ever feel pressured to change anything in your writing because of your readers?
I do indeed. I'm really affected by hate, so when people comment that they don't like things, I really take it to heart. It's crazy how rude some people can be, but at the end of the day it's my writing, so if they don't like what happens then it's their problem!
7. How do you think reading affects someone's writing?
Reading just shows you a different outlook to how someone else in the same position as you expresses their ideas and thoughts. I have definitely learnt a lot of things from reading, it helps you to pick up new techniques and shows you different ways to illustrate ideas.
8. Do you have a favourite quote or saying regarding writing/reading
No not really! Haha
9. How important do you think cover art is for a story here on Wattpad?
Honestly, I think it's super important. I hate to say it, but people do judge books by their covers. It sucks, but it's true.
10. How emotionally invested are you in your work? Do you take parts of yourself and include them into characters and scenes?
I'm very emotionally invested! I get incredibly sad when some of my readers don't understand some parts of the story and why I've chosen to write the plot the way I do. I don't really take parts of myself, I more or so take experiences and feelings that I've gone through myself and try to incorporate them. I find it very difficult writing about something that I've never actually felt before.
11. Do you have a process or specific steps you take while writing and updating?
I'm very organized! I like to plan out at least 5 chapters at a time and have a rough idea of what happens so there's a smooth transition between each one. As for updating, I'm very all over the place, my updates are so irregular!
12. Do you read and answer comments? In what ways do they affect you if at all?
It's hard to keep up with all the comments lately, but I do read them. I'm someone who is very affected by hateful comments, and most of the time I just delete them. But it always makes me happy seeing the kind and supportive things that people write, it makes doing all of this more worthwhile J
Finally, is there anything else you would like to say to your supporters?
THANK YOU. Thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin, especially these past few months where it's been very rocky. I've lost a lot of friends, but I can always count on you guys to be there for me. Thank you for getting me where I am right now, thank you for all the support and the love and the kindness, thank you, thank you, thank you :D
