It had been a week since Shiro had told everyone to look after Lance. Nothing else changed in his body and he's come to enjoy his cat-like abilities. While training, he found he could jump over the training bots and move around more swiftly. He found out he can see a few feet farther than a normal human and can hear more clearer. He found it to be useful during stealth missions when they had to gather information and he used his enhanced hearing to his advantage.

"I don't hear anything," Lance whispered into the comms.

He and the rest of the team were inside what seemed like an abandoned war ship. They stumbled across the wreckage while they floated by a bare planet. Shiro suggested they check it out in case any information was left.

"Good, let's head to the command center here and see what Pidge can gather," Shiro spoke firmly.

When they arrived, Pidge went straight to the computer systems and quickly began her work. Hunk and Lance began snooping around while Shiro stood over Pidge and of course Keith stayed by the entrance in case of an ambush.

"Yo! Yo, Hunk, c'mere," Lance whisper-yelled. "I found an air duct of sorts. Boost me up there."

Hunk looked towards the other team members with a worried look. "I-I-I don't know, dude. Shiro wants us together- just in case." Lance rolled his eyes.

"Hunk. My man, my main man." He rests his hands on top of Hunks shoulders. "It'll be real quick. I go through some of the vents in the castle-ship and I end up finding some cool rooms. Somethings you don't wanna see, though..."

"Mm..." Lance gave his best puppy- cat eyes. "Fine."

Hunk steadied himself and held his hands out, boosting Lance up into the small hole. He watches with anxiety as Lance slips away out of sight.

Lance follows the vent, passed a few openings before dropping down into a random room. It was dark but his eyes allowed him to see in it. Along the walls were what looked to be shelves of jars, most of which were broken. He took one of the unbroken ones and looked into it. There seemed to be a creature shoved in there and as he looked at the others, he noticed they all held the same contents.

He looked across the opposite side of the room and noticed a table with one of the creatures strapped to it and crept closer to get a good look at what it was. One look and he couldn't hold back his scream. Within seconds, the entire team asked where he was and what happened.

"I-" He looked away from the scene in front of him. "I don't know. I- I climbed through the vent and- and- don't let Pidge or Hunk come!" He was trying his best not to pull a Hunk and throw up.

Across the table, the creature was dissected and parts of its body were chopped. Lance didn't want to look at it more than a second so he wasn't sure what the creature was.

"Dammit, Lance! Stay where you are, we'll come to you," Keith growled.

Lance nodded then remembered they couldn't see him. "R-right. Okay, yeah."

It only took a few minutes for Lance to hear the pounding of Keith's feet, followed by what he assumes to be Shiro. He saw Keith nearly run past the room he was in before backtracking. Keith walked straight to Lance, who was crouched down, looking away from the table.

"Lance? What happened?" Shiro walked in and glanced around before his eyes landed on the table.

"I'm gonna assume you saw this," Shiro asked, pointing to the deformed creature. Lance glanced up and nodded.

"Sorry, I- it just took me by surprise." With help from Keith, he stood up. "What is that? No- wait. I don't wanna know. Wait-! Okay, I do. What is it?"
