You are a unique entity in this universe, You are special, but You shall not expect anything from future
You guys might have read about various theories like "law of attraction" or "fake it till you make it" etc. The reality is, these theories do not fit in the Law of Karma because a person's karma defines his/her future.
There are too many people who preach about their learnings from what they did in the past. They give them a name (as mentioned above) and then ask people to follow what they did to become successful in achieving the goals they had set for themselves. But when you think deeply, just once, they are special but they were expecting something from the future. When they got what they expected, they started preaching the old wisdom in their own way.
The old wisdom is "As you Sow so shall you Reap" which I believe is the opposite of what's written in Bhagavad Gita.
Karmanye vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana, Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma Te Sangostvakarmani
Meaning is: You have the right to work only but never to its fruits. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction.
From another angle, this verse conveys that your actions and the actions themselves form the basis of your next moment and thus your future. While you can never know what will happen in next moment to you or to your surroundings, you must focus on the present moment without expecting the results.
These theories give a wrong sense of hope and are create fake optimists most of which feel depressed after a failure because they expected something as a result of their actions.
Believe me, it is up to you whether you want to follow the preachers who say they tested something and attained the results or you believe in yourself and the old ancient wisdom which is the bitter truth.
