Chapter 17 - The Child

Sherlock groaned they had just got back from their first appointment with the doctor and Sherlock was beyond bored. Sherlock picked up his violin and began to play. Sherlock was only 5 weeks along and everything seemed to be going well. Sherlock softly began to compose. It was a nice smooth tune, John enjoyed listening to the instrument while he began to update the blog on their most recent case. Sherlock stopped playing and sat in his arm chair. Lotus trotted over and curled up on Sherlock's lap and soon the detective was fast asleep.
John smiled, with the added pregnancy Sherlock was so much more sleepy and took several naps during the day. One time he almost fell asleep during a case.   John finished typing up the new case and went to go make him and Sherlock dinner. Sherlock's eyes slowly opened and he got up from his nap. He rubbed his eyes and slowly made his way over to John. He rested his head on his husbands shoulder as he made food until he added pepper into the food which was too much for Sherlock to handle so he went back to his chair.
The two went to bed soon and Sherlock had snuggled into John's arms. John still couldn't believe that his best friend, his husband Sherlock Holmes was carrying his child.
At 5 weeks there still wasn't a bump showing but that didn't stop John from occasionally while they cuddled dragging his hand down Sherlock's stomach.

Sherlock was wearing a dark blue sweater John had given him and some jeans because he wasn't in the mood to try and put on his normal attire. His mood swings were so bad that morning so he grabbed what ever clothes he had closest to him and put them on. This was when a shiny black car pulled up next to him.
Sherlock knew that car and the door was opened for him. He climbed into the car what could his dear brother want from him.
One of the reasons why Sherlock despised his brother was the amount of watching and the spying. The man just wanted privacy but of course you never get that when you accidentally break your brothers trust by being sexually assaulted and getting into cutting and drugs.
When Sherlock arrived at the interesting location Mycroft chose for them he climbed out of the vehicle. He saw Mycroft standing there leaning on his umbrella.
"What do you want Mycroft." Sherlock growled as he walked to his brother.
"I suppose most people would say that hormones but of course you normally act like this." Mycroft said smug. Sherlock groaned, why couldn't his brother stay out of his personal life for once.
"So 5 weeks along, are you sure you want to keep it?" Mycroft asked Sherlock walking forward towards his brother.
"It's none of your business but yeah we're keeping them." Sherlock snarled as he sat in the chair set up for him. Mycroft's face turned serious.
"Sherlock this is a big decision, are you sure?" Sherlock looked up at Mycroft.
"Why do you care?" He growled at his elder brother looking away.
"Because I'm your brother Sherlock, and I don't want anything to happen to you." Mycroft put a hand on Sherlock's shoulder. Sherlock winced and Mycroft quickly took it away.
"Nothing will happen to me." Sherlock got up to leave and as he was leaving Mycroft called to him.
"Oh and by the way Sherlock, congratulations." Sherlock stopped for a second and softly smiled before quickly walking away to the car.

Hello so let's get started! Ok so currently Sherlock is in his first trimester and is 5 weeks along. His due date is April 27th. Now first of all let's talk about the fatigue. I love sleepy Sherlock so this symptom was perfect for me. Then there's sensitive smell. Finally of course mood swings. All pretty generic for the first trimester. Then there's the baby bump, at 5 weeks a bump will not be showing so there is no bump yet. Finally we have Mycroft. Now I decided to mention that the reason why I think that Sherlock doesn't like Mycroft is because of how overly protective and controlling he can be. It makes Sherlock feel like he can't get any privacy. There really isn't much else to add so yeah. Hope y'all are doing well.
