Eric cracked an eyelid and sighed. He was back in the real world, with all its annoyances and pressures. Well, there was no point in just lying on the floor. He had to get up for the day.

Eric sat up, but only managed to get his shoulders off the ground. Why couldn't he-

not again.

could he get no peace in either world?

"Elly, It's morning, could you please get off me," Eric asked calmly.

Elly continued to snore quietly, it wasn't an annoying snore, it was the kind of snore that reminded you that the person you were trying to wake up was unlikely to do so anytime soon.

Eric rolled his eyes. "Well then, if that's how you want to play..."

His school bag was still in reach, and it contained a variety of useful things.

Then Eric had a wicked idea. He reached into his bag. "I've always wanted to try this, sorry Elly."

An hour or so later, Elizabeth stirred. She shifted her toes a few times, then stretched her arms. Then her eyes opened.

She was lying down on the floor. Wait, but that couldn't be right, she had gone to sleep on- oh no.

If she was on the floor that meant...

"Good morning sunshine," Eric smirked. "You sure took your time waking up." He had to stay calm, panicking would only make this more awkward.

Elizabeth wanted to crawl under a rock and die. This wasn't how it was supposed to work. Eric was supposed to fall for her, and she was supposed to finally agree to go out with him after making her family worry for a few weeks.

She wasn't supposed to sleep on top of him on her first night as his roommate!

Her eyes widened with horror, "Eric..." she started cautiously, "you didn't do anything weird, did you?"

Eric raised an eyebrow. "What kind of crazy perverted things are you imagining right now?" He asked.

Elizabeth's brain went into overdrive, summoning up a million steamy and improbable scenarios, each worse than the last. Her face flushed bright red.

Eric sighed. "Can you just get off me. It's been over an hour, and this is getting really uncomfortable."

"First, tell me what you did," Elizabeth demanded.

Eric just smirked.

Elizabeth sat up on top of him. "Tell me or else." She demanded.

"Or else what?" Eric asked smugly.

"This," Elizabeth whispered, she leaned downwards, and gently bit his earlobe.

Eric lost all his composure and flushed bright red. Elizabeth sat back up, remaining perfectly calm.

"Alright, alright," Eric said, holding his hands up in surrender. "I drew whiskers on your face with a sharpie."  He admitted.

The steamy contents of Elizabeth's mind instantly dissipated. "You what?" She asked.

"I thought it would be funny to draw whiskers and a mustache on your face so I did and it was," Eric said. "Please just get off me now." He pleaded.

Elizabeth sighed. "And to think I had my hopes up for a minute." She sighed. "Why do you want to get up so badly anyway? It's 7 AM on a Saturday. You don't have school." She reminded him.

Eric tried to push her off "because," he grunted from the effort, Elly was strong for her size, and had a strong grip. "I work the morning shift at a coffee shop today."
