Lysander opened his eyes. His heart was pounding, he clenched the sweat-soaked sheets tightly.

He hadn't been in a fight that stimulating in years, actually, come to think of it there had only ever been that one time.

He got up and placed his flat, knowing sleep wouldn't come back to him easily.

He tried to think back, tried to remember... where had he seen that style of fighting before...

Eric jumped back into the tunnels, landing amongst the chunks of stone that had once formed the tunnel's ceiling.

The massive gust of wind had extinguished the torches, and now the tunnel was eerily dark.

"Stay sharp," Alex warned, "There's no way that was the last of them."

Alice quietly focused on making as many icicles as she could control. Their footsteps echoed down the tunnel's length, making stealth impossible.

"Guys, I've got a bad feeling about this," Brian said anxiously. "It's been too quiet."

Eric agreed, but turning back wasn't an option anymore. "If things get hairy, just run" he warned. "I can always just blast my way out, but not if I have to worry about bringing the tunnel's down, got it."

"That's an interesting idea."

Eric's sword hand moved so fast the blade seemed to simply materialize.

"Of course, if you did collapse the tunnel it wouldn't be very good for the NPCs still inside." The unseen stranger continued.

"I'm Shade, by the way, I run this establishment."

Eric felt the hair on the back of his neck raise. There was something decidedly unnerving about this guy.

"If this place is yours then you're the guy we're here to assassinate," Eric said calmly.

"An assassination? For me?" Shade feigned surprise "I'm so flattered I could die. Oh, that's right, I'm immortal here, don't you understand that?"

Eric smirked. "Wanna test that theory?"

"Eric, don't forget about the hostages, he said he has more." Alex cautioned him.

Eric glanced over his shoulder at Alex.  "In that case, you bust them out of here while I kick this guy's ass."

His unit nodded their understanding. "Can you win?" Lin asked.

Eric sheathed his sword and cracked his knuckles. "We're about to find out."

Lucius gazed through the scope of his staff, he'd decided he wanted to name the wonderful piece of equipment, but he still hadn't decided on a name.

"Thunder rod? No... too unspecific. Maybe musket? Eh, too colonial."

Sasha stood behind the counter calmly polishing a coffee mug. The usual patrons of the shop had slowly been replaced by increasingly similar-looking brawny thugs with swords.

With all of the anti-player units deployed to the Anarchy guild's base of operations, this was the perfect chance for an attack.

Finally, the last old lady with knitting needles was replaced by a balding brute with an ax.

Sasha calmly set down the mug and tossed the rag aside. "Enough acting, are you guys going to attack or what?" She growled.

The largest of the thugs quietly closed his menu and set it on the table, he approached the counter and leaned forward, towering over Sahsa by a good foot.
