Grian was moping. Short and simple. Sometimes you could find him just sitting somewhere looking up at the sky whilst toying with the wedding ring on his finger, so the cleverer of the Hermits assumed it had something to do with his husband they've heard so much about.
Some asked Cub and Scar about it, and they told them that Grian hadn't seen his husband for quite awhile due to them both having meetings and places to be at, at separate times no less. But they also heard the two Vex's mutter about 'powerful beings' and 'stop sulking and just meet up already' so they knew there was something more to it.
Anyways, the Hermits were soon all ready to go retrieve this husband just to get Grian to stop looking so goddamn sad all the time! Like now for example, it was currently a Hermit meeting and he was just looking like a wife worrying for her husband during the war, seriously this was getting ridiculous. But before anyone could say anything, like offering Grian to invite his husband or something, Herobrine joined the game. You know, the most casual of things to happen.
Before anyone had time to react Grian's expression did a 180 as he leaped up from his chair, elytra already on, before running out of the town hall before taking off. The shouts of his fellow Hermits fell on deaf ears as the Evoker rocketed towards the spawn island, but he did register the presence of his servermates approaching from a distance. Not that he had any eyes for them, no, his eyes were only on the tall, white eyed man on the spawn island. He gracefully dives, and just as the Hermits assumes he'll fall Herobrine catches him in a hug-like grip. No scratch that, it wasn't hug-like, it was a hug.
Grian's laughter rings out as the brine starts to spin him around once he's caught, the deep laughter of the taller man soon joining in as they slow down their spinning. Soon the spinning has completely stopped, but Herobrine holds on tightly still, "Oh how I've missed you."
"Maybe you shouldn't go around so much then." Grian teased, tapping the brunette on the nose with a finger, "Less missing me then."
Herobrine hums in pretend thought, before turning back with a grin, "Tempting, but I'm afraid I have a responsibility to my people that I need to do."
"I see how it is!" Grian says dramatically, crossing his arms and turning away with a huff, "Your care more for your kingdom than me, your own husband! I've got you figured out Craft!"
They keep silent eye contact for all of a few seconds before they dissolve into hearty laughter and giggle once again, the dirty blond of the duo leaning against the others shoulder. Only when Grian has been let down on the ground again does the laughter subside, and even then there are still scattered chuckles from the two.
Herobrine leans down and rests his head on the other's forehead, more specifically the diamond shaped marking hidden behind hair that was there, hands intertwined with Grian's own, "All jokes aside, I promise to be around more. My responsibilities will not take me far for a while so don't go thinking you'll be alone for a long time." He glanced over, not that anyone could tell really, to where the Hermist all now stood at the shore of the island, some wide eyed and shocked, but also two knowing, "Though I've seen you've been busy in my absence, made some friends my love?"
Grian giggles softly, leaning away to look at them all properly, though he did not let go of his husband's hands, "Yes I have. I was visiting two young Vex's and their world, and before I knew it I'm asked to join. Oh I just couldn't say no! So much talent and such a closeness, I haven't had much of it all in one place before, I haven't felt it since my own days on my first server." His smile grew wistful, but there was also a sad tilt to it. Hero gently squeezed his hand, which earned him a happy smile, "I didn't expect to grow so attached, but I guess I underestimated just how easy I'd start caring."
