~~Authors Note: so I thought I'd make a few announcements. First off yes Baby bird is a Yagami Yato reference bite me. Secondly, this story will be kind of long I plan to explore a lot about Hawks and of course develop you as a character. Please give me some feedback especially since this is my first fanfiction and only have a general clue about what I'm doing. Anyways back to your scheduled chapter.~~

You groan opening your eyes slowly a bright light in your face. The smell of medicine and cleaning supplies fills your nose. you sit up and look around taking in all the white in the room. "h-hello?" you say trying to focus your eyes. A nurse opens the door and smiles "oh thank goodness your awake!" she says dimming the lights "what happened" you ask looking at her "I think your boyfriend would rather explain he's been trying to get in here all night" she says "he knew which room we had you in before we even said anything" she adds "b-boyfriend?" you say blushing "The handsome blonde who brought you here" she says a smile on her face "h-he's just my partner, y-yeah he can come in thank you" you say trying to collect your thoughts. she walks out and almost immediately he walks in "Y/N!" he says grabbing your hand "are you okay?" he asks. you blink looking at his hand holding yours "what happened?" you ask, he looks away and takes off his visor "you were attacked, someone wanted to--" he cuts off and sighs "that's not important you need to answer one question" he says. you look up at him he looked so worried. "what is it?" you ask "that vial from last night was that something you produced for me?" he asked you blink and look away, he grabs your chin and makes you look at him. "answer me" he says "this whole room smells like it" he adds. you sigh and nod "i-i didn't know I could make stuff specifically for animal-like people." you say "I didn't even know you would be able to follow it to me, but it was the last thing I had to hold on to," you say tears rolling down your cheek.

~Hawks POV~

I sit down next to her and wipe her tears "h-hey" I look at her she looks so broken. "what's wrong, your safe now" I say not sure what to do. she grabs on to me and whimpers trying to hold everything in. "hey~" I say rubbing her back my wings wrapping around her "your safe that's what matters" she looks down and wipes her face. "why can I protect others, why is it that I can be strong for others, but when I need to protect myself I fail". I look at her and sigh "you were brave, that bastard had to do some horrible shit to keep you under control, he played dirty but you managed to call me and you even stopped me from killing him right there" I say proudly "you wouldn't kill anyone.." she says scooting back. I hold my smile and shake my head. 'i don't want to scare you its too soon to let you know what I'm capable of' i thought. "No, but I'll make sure no one will mess with you," I say tucking my wings back.

You blush and look at the door your nurse standing there. "s-sorry I didn't want to interrupt you two" she says "if you wouldn't mind signing here Ms. L/N, we can release you however you need to rest you took a really bad hit to the head we wouldn't want you to make it worse" she smiles handing you a clipboard. you nod and sign your name. "perfect your belonging are in a bag in the restroom" she says walking out. You look at Hawks "can you wait outside while I change?" you ask. "of course bab--, Y/N" he says getting up and closing the door behind him. You can see his shadow on the other side of the door. you get up and go to the restroom to change you catch a glimpse of your reflection and sigh 'i look terrible' you think putting on your clothing, you put all your belonging in your pockets and try to fix your hair. Content with the ponytail you managed to tie you walk to the door and gently open it knowing Keigo wasn't going to go far. He moves and lets you out "ready?" he asks looking at you. You nod and follow behind him to the exit. As soon as you got outside you hear screaming, not in danger screaming but fans surrounding Keigo. "Can I get an autograph?" one person says "can I take a picture?" another asks before you knew it a crowd formed around between you. You back up and watch him. His dumb smile in each picture and his silly grin when he signs something.  You look down feeling hurt. 'why am I like this, it's not like he's mine it's not like he sees me that way' you think shaking your head trying to change the subject.  You look back 'he looks like he's having so much fun' you think watching him. He glances at you and sends a feather your way it tickles your nose before sitting itself in your hair. you blush and wait for him. A guy approaches you "What a self-centered bastard" they say arms crossed "my girl and I were walking by when she ran towards him because "she HaD to MEet Him" so annoying". You look at him and glare "You don't know what you're talking about, heroes care about people  Hawks is no different" you say "great you must be a fangirl like the rest of them" Keigo sees you and starts pushing through the crowd just as he's about to reach you he watches you punch the guy square in the jaw "I said you don't know what you're talking about" you repeat. Keigo grabs your arm and pulls you close "come on let's get you home" he says holding in a laugh. You nod and follow him away. "Crazy bitch" you hear the guy say as you turn your back. Keigo about to turn around you pull a vial out and drop it almost instantly squirrels come down and start surrounding him. you giggle and keep walking. "they won't hurt him," you say to Keigo "they just think there are nuts around" you add. Sweat drops from his face and he keeps walking with you.

                 

By the time you arrived home, it was getting dark, you stood by your door and looked back at Keigo.  you played with your thumbs thinking of something to say. "K-Keigo do you wanna--" "Y/N" you recognize that voice "Y/N!" Keigo turns around and see's Present Mic and Aizawa approaching "Where have you been? we came by to celebrate your new job" Present say's walking past Keigo and straight to you. "w-well we've been working" you say "you must be Hawks, nice to meet ya" Present mic says "Hello, Present Mic" Keigo responds he hands in his pockets. Aizawa joins you and Present "Let's GO INSIDE AND ENJOY THIS BOTTLE" Present Screams excitedly. You groan and look at Keigo. He smiles opening his wings up. "Where do you think you're going, join us!" Present says. Keigo looks at you for your opinion. You shrug and open the door "maybe a few drinks wouldn't hurt right?" you say "WOOHOO let's get this started" Present mic says pushing Aizawa inside. You blush and hold the door open for Keigo. "you don't have to" you say. He smiles "sounds like a good time," he says going inside.

You sigh and look at the sky 'what have I gotten pulled into' you think before closing the door behind you.
