Power Struggle - Takami Keigo X Reader

Making a Scene

     You hold Sho tightly to your body he coos gently pushing on your face. You smile holding back tears, Keigo puts his hand on your shoulder and smiles. "Are you ready?" he asks. You nod and adjust Sho's knitted cap, Keigo opens the door to your home and reaches out his hand. "There are other ways we can stop them from taking Sho away, are you sure you want to do this?" You nod and hold Sho in one arm and take Keigo's hand with the other. "I'm not hiding behind walls anymore," you say to him. Keigo smiles and leads you to the car.

~At the Saftey Commission office~
The building was surrounded by news reporters, cameramen, and fans. The Commissions president watches through her office window and gives a disgruntled sigh, a knock is heard on her office door "come in"; the door opens and All might walks in with a stern look on his face. "Toshinori I don't have time for this"  All Might slams his hands on her desk.
"Then make time, What are you thinking?! We're supposed to be protecting the people of Japan not taking their children away. Haven't you already done enough to that family...Haven't you already done enough to Hawks" All might looks her in the eyes. "Everyone is already stressed out about UA shutting its doors now you're going to do this?! I just don't understand, help me understand." All might sighs and takes a few steps back.

The commission's president rubs her temple frustrated, she stands up and looks at All might. "We created one of the smartest and most skilled spies by taking him away, how many breakthroughs have we had with Hawks. Until he got involved in this case he's been a great lead on the league of villains, now look at him he's not focusing and he's too involved. I know it was bound to happen but if we're able to train the child-"

"STOP!"

All Might shouts, "Do you hear yourself, what your saying is almost criminal. That's a family Hawk's has finally recovered from his past. Just think you pushed the other child too far only Hawks knows what happened to him since the time you had them facilitated, for all we know he's a villain now. What makes you think taking their son away is going to do any good you could instead create another villain in this world."

All Might looks down "Hawks and Epithymia are coming here...I'd suggest terminating this meeting and leaving them alone. Otherwise, I don't know if the hero's of this country will be seen as hero's anymore." He turns around and walks out the door slamming it shut. The President stands in her office, she had to make a choice.

~outside~
You look out the car windows and see the crowd of people in front of the commission office. You look at Sho and sigh 'we're doing this for him' you think to yourself. Keigo puts his hand on yours and smiles. "It's going to be okay, I got your back," he says calmly. The car drives past the crowds towards the front of the building, news reporters and cameramen ready to capture who's inside. The car stops and you take a deep breath trying to calm yourself. Keigo opens his door first and steps out of the car.

"It's Hawk's!" A reporter shouts as other bystanders notice they begin to cheer for him. Keigo doesn't acknowledge anyone he keeps a serious face and walks over to your door, his hand on the handle.
You take a few deep breaths trying to calm yourself, your body shaking in worry and anxiety, you
are not a bigshot hero you never really did well with large crowds. 'Your only number three because of saving those kids on Nabu,' you shake your head trying to push negative thoughts away, you look at Sho. It's not about you right now, it's about your son. 
Keigo opens the door and offers his hand. You take it and step out of the car hugging Sho. The crowd now surrounding the car, cameras flashing nonstop. Keigo's wing expands out protecting you from behind as the two of you walk towards the reporters.

"Miss President he's here and they're going towards the media." A security guard says in his mic.

One female reporter approaches you and Hawks. 'This is it..' you think

"Hawk's, Epithymia! We've been waiting; we heard that you two would be here today. OH! Is this our future hero?!" She asks preppy and excited.

You keep yourself from rolling your eyes, you were never fond of the press. Keigo holds you close and smiles. You nod "This is Sho," you say with a smile.

"How cute! He looks so much like you Hawks." The reporter says excitedly before focusing back on you "Epithymia how have you been? The last time we saw you was on Nabu island, you put on such a brave fight protecting the people of the island. Can you tell us about it?"

You sigh "First I would like for it to be on record that I don't deserve all the credit I was hastily voted number three hero after the incident and I would like to say that I am honored however the student's from UA's Hero Course put more work and everything they had into protecting everyone including myself."

"Speaking of UA what are your thoughts about the schools' temporary closure?" The reporter asks

Keigo steps in "Parents are looking out for their children, UA sent a class to an island alone with little supervision and no way to contact the adults in case of emergency. I've only been a parent for a little amount of time however I see where these parents are coming from they want to make sure their children are safe. After Nabu island, we almost lost multiple students and I almost lost my wife and son."

You look at Keigo and hold his hand tightly "As parents, we want the best for our children I agree with UA on closing its doors until it can ensure the safety of its students."

The reporter nods in agreement "Epithymia you've been at home recovering and of course taking care of your son, what made you come out now?" She asks

You hesitate at first it had to come from you. "I-i decided now is the time because there's going to be a meeting inside this building today. One that Hawk's nor I are allowed to attend. The 8 other Pro hero's in the top 10 will be voting on whether or not the commisson-"

BOOOOOOM

Keigo opens his wings and wraps them around you enveloping you and Sho inside them. "What was that?!" You ask holding Sho tightly as he cries. Keigo opens his wings enough for you to look out of them. Your eyes widen blue flames had covered half the commission's building. Pro's rush out of the building trying to get everyone to a safe distance. Keigo's wings return behind him and he wraps an arm around you "we need to go." He says leading you through the panicked crowd. You look back and see Dabi Standing on top of the commissions building. 

"ENDEAVOR I THINK IT'S TIME WE HAVE A CHAT"

A/N: Hey guy's so sorry this took so long I wanted to follow up on Dabi's story and his role in this story of ours. I re-wrote this chapter a few times because it just never seemed right. Hope you guy's enjoyed it and this is going to get a little more twisted and more into the past of Hawk's, Dabi, and more into our quirk.

Also, we are approaching the end of our story I can't say for sure how many more chapters because it all depends on how the pieces fall together but also I've almost covered all the points I intended to cover and all the secrets are about to come out :)

I love you all and hope you stick with me through the end of this story. I have other plans for other self -inserts but I'm not sure where I'm going next just yet.  Until then see you in the next one.
