Fear and Love

After dinner you and Keigo decided to go to bed, he had planned a walk through the island for tomorrow and wanted to let you rest up for it. Unfortunately for you, the Dabi nightmares hadn't stopped. You sat in the bed watching Keigo sleep. you sigh trying to think of something else hoping to get some sleep. Keigo turns onto his side bumping his face into your side, he groans and opens his eye just enough to see you sitting up. He lifts his head "hmm, hey y/n what going on?" he asks getting up and bringing you close to him, "Sorry I just can't sleep" you say resting your head on his bare chest. He looks down at you playing with your hair "Same dream?" he asks. You nod enjoying the feeling of him playing with your hair especially when he swirls it between his fingers. He looks up and sighs "here this usually puts you to sleep". He starts moving making you scoot to the side. He lays back down on the bed his wings sprawled open "come on lay on top of me, your head on my chest" he demands. you blush and listen climbing on him laying down on top of him. he folds his wings over your body cocooning you in, one hand on your lower back the other on the back of your head. "just relax okay, Dabi was already spotted in the states he's not even sure we're here" he says rubbing your back. "the league has been underground since the fight" he adds kissing the top of your head.

You reach your hand hugging him tightly "Every time I see him it feels like he's truly here like he's only playing along for now." Keigo feels your body shaking "h-hey it's okay, Do you want to know something about Dabi" he says slightly bittered. "We were in the same program with the Hero Saftey Commission, I never found out what made him turn to be a villain but Dabi used to be a kid who was afraid to hurt anything. Sometimes I blame the Commission for the way he turned out they were harder on him"  he sighs "Dabi and I used to be friends but everything went wrong when he was forced to hurt a small animal. That's not what I wanted to tell you but Dabi deep down still see's me as a friend he wouldn't kill me." you moved to look up at Keigo you were crying. "you took that mission to help him escape didn't you" you say tears running down your face. Keigo smiles wiping your tears "yeah I had other motives than the safety commission but he wouldn't budge, he insisted he needed you for his plan but he never told me what he wanted you for" he sighs closing his eyes. "I don't blame him though, I'm working for the other team and unfortunately for him, I found you first" He gently brings your head down to his chest. "Next time you see him in your dream just remember he's scared deep down that he's human under all those scars and that he just needs to feel loved" he yawns putting his hand back on your head "also I'd completely kick his ass before he even gets a good look at you."

You blush closing your eyes, listening to Keigo's heartbeat. 'Dabi has had it just as hard as Keigo..' you let out a sigh snuggling against Keigo's chest. Before you knew it the warmth of his wings and the sound of his heartbeat lulled you to sleep.

~next morning~

Keigo gently shakes you "y/n wake up~" he whispers. you rub your eyes sitting up in his lap "looks like someone slept a little better" he chuckles wiping some drool off your cheek. You blush nodding your head. "No Dabi this time, just you and me," you say stretching out your arms. Keigo gives you a soft smile "that's good to hear, now let's get ready for that walk" before either of you could move you hear a knock on the door. The two of you look at each other, you move off of Keigo. He gets up and looks out the window "Well i guess that walk is going to have to wait" he sighs grabbing a shirt from the closet throwing it on. "who's out there?" you ask following Keigo around. He stops for a second and smiles at you"well go answer the door and find out." You walk to the door and open it up "h-hello?" you say peeking out. The door slams open and Present Mic grabs you hugging you tightly "Y/N!!! oh my god you're alive!" he screams shaking you around like a rag doll. "I'm okay!" you say your head spinning. "He wouldn't leave me alone until we found out where you were, especially once he hear the news that Hawks was flown off to America for some surgery." Present mic sets you down "I had tickets bought to go see you but Hound dog and Ectoplasm told us you weren't there."

"y-yeah sorry about that, everything happened so fast we couldn't tell anyone what was happening. How did you even get here?" you ask looking at them. "Selkie gave us a ride on one of his patrol boats they're in charge of making sure villains don't come near the island," Aizawa says yawning. "We only stopped by to bring you some supplies, All might was the last hero to use this place back in the day, we all immediately realized there was going to be nothing here for you two to eat or use". Keigo walked up beside you fully dressed, "How are you doing we heard the league gave you a run for your money" Present mic says "It all happened so fast luckily y/n was there to send them running with their tails between their legs" you blush looking at Keigo. "I didn't do that much," you say lowly. "Are you kidding there's a video of you from a police helicopter you had Nomu's walking around you like bodyguards" you look at Present Mic "there's footage of me?" you ask. He nods "Yeah it's impressive seeing how far your quirk has gotten," he says proudly. Aizawa looks at his watch "we need to get going Selkie's patrol is about to move back" you pout "are you guys going to visit again?" you ask.

"We're in charge of supply drops we'll be here twice a month" You smile excited that you'll be able to see your friends. "here I'll come with you guys to bring the supplies here." The three guys left. You sigh feeling relieved to know they are no longer in the dark about your situation. You go back inside the house and sit down on the couch. Kitaro jumps in your lap sitting down. "hey buddy, feeling better?" you look at his collar seeing something stuck to it. "what did you get into?" you ask taking it off his collar. you look at it in your hands "what is this?" you get up and hold it near a window to get a better look at it. Your eyes widen "it can't be him, it's probably just some trash Kitaro got into" you take the silver staple and throw it in the trash. 'He's not here, he's in America looking for Keigo, He's not here, he's in America looking for Keigo' you repeat that sentence in your head trying to feel better.

Keigo arrives by himself carrying a medium-sized crate.  He sets it down seeing you on the couch like you just saw a ghost. "hey what's going on, not feeling well?" he asks sitting beside you. You look at him and lean onto his shoulder. 'He's not here, he's in America looking for Keigo'. you sigh and give him a smile.

"Everything is okay!"
