A Good Lover

~Hawks POV~

I tuck her in kissing her cheek "rest up, you used a lot of energy yesterday". She nods and rolls onto her stomach "just wake me up if you need something okay?" I smile and kiss the back of her head. "I got this promise". I walk out and go to the kitchen, opening up the fridge i sigh "great they send us out here and don't even stock anything" I walk back to the bedroom and quietly change into some shorts and black hero shirt. I grab my glasses and close the door, and head outside.

I grab a sack sitting outside and jump off the hill soaring down to the water. "Just no flying fish" I fly up high enough to see where the fish are and dive down reaching into the water. I miss the first few, 'it's been a while since I needed to do this' i dive down again and reach into the water grabbing something and pulling it out, without looking it shove it into the sack and fly back up. I scan the water looking for another school of fish, I spot them and dive down reaching in grabbing two at once.  I dive back up and look at all three fish "well i guess you go back home buddy" I take the smaller of the fish and release it back into the water taking the other two back to the house. I run into the backside of the house and start up the grill. Going back to the kitchen I set the fish in the sink and sigh "sorry guys but gotta eat somehow".  I grab the butchers knife and put the fish out.

~y/n pov~

You wake up after what seemed like a short nap and stand up stretching. "Keigo, what are you doing?" you walk out of the bedroom and see all the lights are turned off and no one was in the kitchen. You look around each room "Keigo?" you look outside to the shore and don't see him. You start getting very uneasy your chest hurting. "Keigo? this isn't funny".  "who said this was a joke?" You turn around and see Dabi holding some red feathers and yellow glasses in his hand "Guess he couldn't protect you after all~"  You back up away from him "w-what did you do? Where is he?" you ask backing up into the wall "doesn't matter we found you Y/n"

"y/n hey wake up"

You open your eyes and see Keigo gently shaking you "Hey what's going on?" he asks wiping away tears. you look around and see it's already sundown. "n-nothing just a bad dream," you say looking back at him. "well maybe I can cheer you up"  Keigo lifts you up and carries you through the house and to the back door "close your eye's," he says smiling. You close your eyes and hear the door open. Keigo gently sets you down putting his hands on your side. "go ahead look".

You open your eyes and blush. He not only set the back table with candles and flowers from the island all over but he also had plates set with seared tuna, rice, and some steamed vegetables. "I know it isn't great but I worked with what I had" He takes your hand walking you to the table and pulling the chair out for you. You sit down and look at Keigo "this is amazing, better than anything I could have done." he chuckles "no trust me you seem to make food appear out of nowhere sometimes" He starts serving you a plate with a little of everything on it. "Hopefull it's to your standards" he jokes. He sits across from you and sets his own plate. You look down at your food, not only was the tuna perfectly seared but the rice looked super soft and fluffy.  You took your chopsticks and took a bite of the tuna. 'it's amazing!', you start enjoying the whole plate he made for you. He smiles watching you for once digging into your plate instead of him.

"I take it you think the food is good" you stop and look up at him "you sure you cooked this or did you find the nearest take out place" you tease. "Of course I cooked it!" his wings ruffle up in jealousy "I was joking, I can tell you tried really hard, thanks I needed it". He eats some more off his plate. "so you going to tell me what you were really dreaming about?" he says looking you in the eyes. "because your not one to cry in your sleep" he adds setting his chopsticks down and reaching across the table for your hand. He gently rubs your hand with his. "talk to me". You sigh and look back up at him. "I dreamt that Dabi found us, here" you start. "He um, he had your glasses and some of your feathers in his hand, he said y-you couldn't p-protect me," you say breaking up near the end Keigo holds your hand. "I'm sorry, but like I said, Even if we have to keep running away, I'll protect you and when I can't we'll go somewhere else but I won't leave you alone." He smiles sending a feather to play with your hair, "Those idiots won't ever take you away from me" he adds the feather gently grazing your cheek before setting itself in your hair.

You smile "K-kei-" before you could say anything else he reaches out for your other hand blushing immensely. "I can't give you anything better until we get out of this situation but-" He stops for a second a separate feather from the one in your hair coming out from under the table "I don't even know how well it's going to last but, Y/n will you-" you see the hand woven ring made out of some tree leaves. You look up at him blushing "Will you promise to marry me as soon as I can get a better ring?" he asks scratching the back of his neck. You get a dumb smile on your face you take the ring from the feather and hand it to him, he takes it feeling like you were about to reject him. You put your hand out. He smiles and puts it on your finger. "I love you and don't need something fancy, It's actually great you made this one" you look at it smiling a lot. you stand up and give him a kiss on the lips, he kisses you back bringing you down to sit on his lap. "I will marry you~" you whisper in between kisses. He chuckles and holds your hand-kissing you more. "so glad you didn't scream my ear out~" he jokes looking at your hand seeing his 'ring' on your finger.

"I love you Keigo" you smile kissing his cheek "Just promise you don't go overboard with our wedding" He chuckles "You already thinking about our wedding huh?" you blush looking away "maybe.."
