Chapter 38: Mako

"So which one are we going for? Sasuke? Or the nine tails?" Tobi questioned as Rose groaned, fixing her straw hat as she did hand signs.

Rose was engulfed in smoke, as Tobi and Deidera raised an eyebrow.

"There we go. Now I'm all good." Rose said as the smoke cleared, Tobi jumping up and down as Deidera nodded.

Rose had now transformed into a young boy, her hair short, her usual black eyes now a bright silver.

The akatsuki cloak covered normal ninja pants, a black long sleeve, and an iron vest, along with two katanas.

"Let's see, which one should we go for? Hmm." Deidera hummed as he jumped on his massive bird, taking off as Rose jumped onto the other, Tobi flailing his arms around.

"Hey! Hey! Stop! Wait! Deidera! Wait up!" Tobi yelled as he laid on the bird, Rose standing behind him with a bored look.

"Hey Tobi, Madara, Whatever. Call me Mako from now on, Alright? My shadow transformation will stay on for while, so get used to it." Rose said as Tobi nodded, holding on for dear life as Rose rolled her eyes.

"Ok, Mako!"

-back at the leaf-

Hana shoved her stuff inside of her bag, quickly throwing on a cloak. It was the dead of night, as she jumped onto the roof of her apartment.

"So, where are you going?" Jiraya questioned as Hana gasped, sighing as she turned to face him.

"After Naruto and the others." Hana said as Jiraya laughed, shaking his head as Hana sighed once again.

"I know you're going to stop me-" Hana started but was cut off by Jiraya laughing.

"Stop you, well I could, but it's up to you. If you leave without authorization, you'll be branded a rogue. Then what good are you to Sasuke?" Jiraya questioned as Hana sighed, sitting down on the roof next to him as Jiraya smiled.

"You're right. I'm being foolish. I'm sorry." Hana said as Jiraya patted her on the back.

"Don't worry, at least you can train with me!" Jiraya said with a smirk as Hana forced a smile on her face.

"Yeah...what a joy..."

-back at Rose-

"I found him." Deidera said with a gasp, Rose getting up from her laying position on Tobi's back.

"No kidding?" Tobi said as Rose stood up, stretching.

"Well, that was fast." Rose said as Deidera nodded.

"We'll go seize it together." Deidera said as the two nodded.

"So which is it?" Tobi questioned as Deidera smirked.

"Huh, just come on." Deidera said as Rose groaned.

"Thanks for the straight answer." Rose mumbled under her breath as she sat down, laying her back against Tobi's arm as she held her straw hat.

-to Naruto-

"I feel bad leaving Hana behind.." Naruto said with a look of guilt as Hinata smiled.

"I-I'm sure she's a-Alright. A-at least she's getting r-rest." Hinata stuttered as Yamato nodded.

"Hinata's right. At least this way, Hana can recover from all that restless training she's been doing." Yamato said as Naruto nodded, focusing back on the path.

"I know you're there. Show yourself." Sasuke said over his shoulder as Tobi and 'Mako' walked out of the shadows, Sasuke raising an eyebrow.
