Chapter 68: Beginnings to an End

"Here." Tobi said as Rose smiled, putting on the mask.

It was a large mask with a snake print, the eyes a bright red as it had two small eye holes.

Rose reached her hand out, her whole hand disappearing into the shadows.

Only a moment later, Rose pulled out a whole outfit, Tobi chuckling at her.

"Shut up, yes I hide clothes in shadows. Now quit laughing shit head." Rose growled as she pulled the whole outfit out.

Without a care in the world, the woman changed in front of Tobi, not battering an eye as he whirled around.

"A-ah warning would be nice!" Tobi yelled as Rose shrugged.

"It would have been, wouldn't it?" Rose said as she finished changing.

"And I'm the sassy one here?" Tobi mumbled to himself.

She wore a long black dress, slits on the sides for her legs, along with a small pair of black shorts. She had a large purple obi wrapped around her middle, as the uchiha symbol was worn on her back.

Rose put her mask on, her long black hair flowing past her waist as she inspected herself.

She suddenly realized something was missing, as she reached back into the shadows.

Rose pulled out a large silver katana, strapping it to her hip as she nodded.

"All done." Rose said as Tobi nodded.

"Good, lets go."

"Did you receive Tobimaru's message?" Temari questioned two sand ninja as they both stood straight and tall in front of their kazekage.

"Yes ma'am!" One of them said.

"Any word from the feudal lords?" Kankuro questioned.

"Yes, just a while ago. It said that they all gave their approval." The ninja relayed as Hana stood there quietly.

"It came sooner than expected." Temari said as she looked at Kankuro from the corner of her eye.

"Well, considering the situation...the lords, who often act slowly, had no choice but to act quickly. Things are gonna get busy." Kankuro said as Gaara looked up.

"We'll meet immediately. Send for all the officials at once. I also want full anbu to keep tabs on Hanabusa at all times. She must be protected to the highest degree." Gaara said as Hana continued to stare at the ground.

Hana ran up to Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro, the doors behind them closing as she looked up at Gaara.

"So? Can I fight?" Hana asked excitedly, her arm in a sling, her clothes changed thanks to Temari.

"...no." Gaara said as Hana's face dropped. "This is a war to protect the twelve tails. You must be protected at all costs." Gaara said as Hana nodded.

"Alright...but can I least get some weapons just in case?" Hana asked as Temari smiled.

"Of course. Follow me." Temari said as Gaara nodded.

"I must prepare the platoons with tactical plans. I'll see you all later." Gaara said as he gently kissed Hana on the top of her head, walking to his office as if nothing happened.

Hana turned a bright red as Temari and Kankuro snickered.

"So when's the wedding?"

"Oh shush! We're in the middle of a war if you couldn't tell!"
