Chapter 47

*Riki's POV*

~Previously~

I started crying more, all of my emotions building up and threatening to break out of it's prison that I made when I was just a kid. Seeing Bakugo so hurt, feeling weak all because Midoriya got to be with All Might and get so close to him with his new quirk...

He reminds me...of me.

~Present~

Sure, we've had different pasts, and I mean very different pasts. Tenko got "pampered" by All for One. I got tortured and experimented on. But the urge to be the best was always there. Growing up, I was taught that I held everything in my hands. If I messed up, got pushed to the ground, god forbid I lost a fight, then I would get yelled at and beaten.

I would be called a useless Nomu.
After all, that's all I am.
I'm the only living Nomu on this filthy planet.

I was supposed to succeed. I was meant to be at the top. If anyone dares to think they're better than me, show them that you're more powerful and kill them. Endless hours of training and yelling made me realize that I always had to be the best. I couldn't break, I couldn't express my true feelings, hell, I couldn't even bruise or else I'd be a pathetic weakling.

I understand Bakugo, being followed all through life until suddenly, you feel that someone is trying to overpower you. It lights a fire in your heart that makes you insanely pissed, wanting to rip their throat out because you know that you aren't weak.

You can't be weak.

It hurt. A lot. Living this life wasn't as good as I thought, but that's all my fault.

"Alright boys, break it up." All Might's voice said from behind me.

I walked over to the side and sat down, wanting to hear this conversation even though I was on the verge of breaking down.

"Why did you choose him?" Bakugo asked

"Even though he was quirkless, he still had a strong desire to be a hero and was completely selfless. You already had a quirk and you're extremely talented with it. You have an amazing power Bakugo." All Might spoke.

"You know, I'm weak too. And I'm the reason you're weak." Bakugo mumbled and I started quietly crying, trying to keep it together.

"It's not your fault young Bakugo. I was going to lose my power eventually regardless of those events." All Might said before embracing Bakugo in a hug. "I'm so sorry I made you bear a burden like that."

The conversation went on a bit more, the two boys eventually becoming proper rivals. All Might revealed the truth of his power, One for All, and Bakugo agreed to keep it a secret. The air turned silent and I made the mistake of sniffling, although you can't blame me since I was a crying mess over here.

The males froze and looked around, "Did someone just sniff?" Bakugo asked

"That's what I thought I heard. It sounded like someone was crying...but no one's here." Midoriya said before everyone went quiet in realization.

"Riki" the three said together before I teleported away, going back home since I knew my father was still at school.

When I saw that I was in my room, I broke down into sobs, falling to the ground. I didn't know what to do. I had no one to go to besides Tenko, but even he knows that he can't fix this. I used Momo's quirk and pulled a tissue box out of my stomach before returning her quirk.

Once I steal someone's quirk, I can steal it back as long as it's not being used.

I tore open the box and pulled a tissue out, blowing my very runny nose as I kept sobbing. I used my telekinesis to make a pillow from my bed float over to me. I grabbed the pillow from the air and I hugged it as I curled up in a fetal position, sobbing loudly into the pillow.

It's all my fault.
I'm sorry I couldn't be the best and save you.

*No One's POV*

"Riki, are you out here?" Midoriya asked as the males looked around even if they couldn't see her.

After a couple seconds of pure silence, Bakugo spoke, "She must've teleported back to the dorms."

"She had to've heard about One for All. I don't think she would, but I need to make sure she won't say anything." All Might said

"Why would she even be out here? And crying? Was she here the whole time?" Midoriya rambled

"I wouldn't be surprised if she was here for most of it." All Might replied as they walked back to their dorm building.

When they got inside, the two boys were immediately restrained by Aizawa who was not happy with them whatsoever.

"Are you kidding me? Fighting after curfew, on your own, right after the license exam?!" Aizawa growled, squeezing the boys tighter.

All Might quickly stepped in and explained the whole situation, making Aizawa growl before he loosened his grip on his students.

"Since Bakugo hit first, you get four days of house arrest, Midoriya, you get three. You two will clean the common areas every morning and night. You guys will not being going to Recovery Girl either as you can heal those wounds on your own since you created them. Now go to bed." Aizawa grumbled and let the boys go, handing them first aid kits.

After the two boys left, All Might spoke to Aizawa, "Did Riki come through here at all?"

"No, she was supposed to. She most likely teleported into her room since, apparently, she can do that." Aizawa replied, "Why?"

"Out in Ground Gamma, as we were leaving, we heard a sniff as if someone had been crying. When we looked around, no one was there. It couldn't have been Hagakure since we'd see her clothes. When we asked if Riki was there, we got no response and it was dead silent."

Aizawa softly groaned, "This child. I'll go check her room." He said

All Might stopped him, "I'll do it. I need to talk to her anyway."

Aizawa nodded his head and returned back to work as All Might went upstairs to Riki's room. He got to Riki's door and listened for any noise. When he heard silence, he knocked on the door, getting no response. He unlocked her door and slowly peeked in, seeing her lamp on but no Riki. All Might grumbled under his breath while locking her door and going back downstairs.

"She's gone. Why am I not surprised?" All Might said and Aizawa turned around.

"Seriously? I'll call her."

"Her phone was in her room"

"Shit" Aizawa groaned

"Maybe she's at home?"

"She most likely is. Were you sure she was crying?"

"Yes. She sniffed raggedly as if she was trying to catch her breath from quietly crying."

"What'd you do to her?" Aizawa growled, glaring at All Might.

"Nothing nothing! I swear! No one even knew she was there!" All Might exclaimed with wide eyes, waving his arms around.

Aizawa glared at him before returning back to work, knowing Riki was at home. He just wondered why his daughter was crying.
